A couple of weeks back we caught the 20's taking the Flying Scotsman to the ELR, whilst at Castleton we got GB Railfreight 66727 (Maritime) on

A bit of Sunday nostalgia now, with it being the last running day of the Flying Scotsman 60103 at the East Lancashire Railway we thought we would look back to 23rd February 2023 when she made her first appearance from the Baron Street sheds after having a overhaul and repaint.

Feeling a little nostalgia for these English Electric beauties.

Looking back to the 24th June 2020 as Freightliner Group Ltd 86609 and 86608 head north towards Garston FLT, seen at the much loved Acton Bridge station.

Sadly no longer put through their paces on the UK mainline, having been exported to Bulgaria in 2023.

Oh, and of course a ubiquitous 66 has to get involved too!

Quick call at Horwich Parkway to catch GB Railfreight 66693 passing through, working 6J84 1237 Horton In Rib Quarry Gbrf to Brin' Heath Down Aggs Gbrf.

Sheds may be a little mundane, but at least the livery is a nice treat.

Midweek steam action from a busy Leyland, with Locomotive Services Group 60532 "Blue Peter" making a brief stop on 1Z47 1626 Carlisle to Crewe. With 57302 on the rear. 🚂🚂
