So today I was asked to edit some old photos for a family member, one was so bad with creases and the surface had cracked age marks etc there was hours of work needed on it. I decided to see what AI could do with it so tried Co pilot and chat GPT, some results were strange, cars disappeared, a bus was changed in to trees, lamp posts disappeared or strange things happened to them, never mind the features of the people in the photo changed or disappeared. But tweaks in what was asked and it actually did very well. I wont show the images but i decided to have a look at the wedding photos I posted a few weeks ago in a public building with signs all over the place, I removed most manually but some I just didn't have enough image to clone or repair parts like the green exit sign above the door. So here are the before and after.
I asked it to remove the signs from the walls and the door and it did very well and much quicker than I did it. I will never use AI to cull images I don't trust it I will always manually go through my images but maybe I could save a bit of time i the future and use AI to remove distractions in photos.
