We know that we haven’t been very present on here over the summer… so we thought we’d explain….

Lizzie looks after all our social media for both of our businesses and juggling all the shoots, the emails and the editing whilst also trying to be present for our children is no easy thing. We know there is a precious window in raising kids and we are in it. So, we are being intentional and making the conscious decision to be present with them, to go on holiday (even in our busiest time) and to give them as much time as we can.

One of the reasons we do this job is because we believe in relationships and people. We believe in investment and in celebrating the best thing in life - our people. And that starts with us. We say it, so we should lead by example.

That does not mean you are not important to us and that we won’t give you our best. For our clients we are currently working with, you are a priority. We adore our job, but our socials can have a rest until September. We will be back to show you what we have been up to then.

I saw this incredible motivation story about the different styles of dresses and veils since the 1900s. It was so amazing to see how fashion changes, but it’s only 1 or 2 decades that they left the veil out.
In all my years of being a wedding photographer, veils are something I’ve always been obsessed by. They date back to ancient Roman times where they were worn as a symbol of entering a new stage of life as the veil was lifted from the brides face. The veil can also symbolise reverence, humility, family heritage and the sacred nature of the marriage ceremony. Of course some wear one because of aesthetics and fashion, but I love that there is such a deeper meaning to it. 🤍

On the cathedral theme, this was a wedding we’ll never ever forget.

Early in our journey after I went full-time with Tom, we had the privilege of photographing Katharine’s wedding at Canterbury Cathedral. Katharine’s father was the Archbishop of Canterbury at the time, making the setting all the more fitting.

The cathedral is magnificent and absolutely enormous, so we hired bigger lenses knowing we’d need a bit more reach to do justice to one of the most incredible venues we’ve ever worked in. It challenged us, inspired us and reminded us why we love what we do.

The scale, the atmosphere and the emotion of the day were unforgettable. Even now, years later, it’s a wedding we still talk about.

We loved every minute. ❤️

Garden wedding no.6 | Matt and Jenny
This incredible home garden wedding was completely insane. The gorgeous Jenny’s brother is which explains all the beautiful cars!! From hidden parts of the marquee to the groom’s artwork all over the tables to the firework display at the end, the whole thing was just completely amazing.

LLL: Private garden wedding no.4.
What a stunning tipi garden wedding this was on Lauren’s family farm land. The Dorset views were stunning and it truly celebrated our English countryside. Tipis have such a different vibe. They are fun, cosy and like no other wedding. We have worked so much with over the years and look forward to working with them again this year.

Private garden wedding no.3.

This beautiful wedding in Lulworth, Dorset proved to the world how utterly amazing it is to have your wedding in your own grounds. They may have lost electricity about 11pm but that just added to the magic!

It was so fun to work with and to photograph the incredible work of on florals.
