It's been a while since I have posted an image, it's nearly been a year since I have felt motivated enough to share my work.

So here it is, my first 180 degree panoramic astro image. This image was shot over Knowlton Church in Wimborne and is comprised of 2 rows of 9 vertical images stitched together which has allowed me to show the Milkyway arching over the church.

I was even lucky enough to capture a bright meteor shooting its way towards Verwood.

Last night we were lucky enough to witness Venus amongst the Seven Sisters or Pleiades.

This event happens once every 8 years and I was lucky that the clouds held out long enough for me to capture them from my home.

Hope everyone is staying safe.

Looking Up

I love sitting back and watching the stars shoot by, especially in the summer where I can wear shorts.

This is a self portrait from this weekend a few miles from home, just how lucky am I to live so close to many beautiful spots.

An Old Favourite

Although the forecast wasn't perfect I headed out to one of my favourite locations for photography, Mupe Bay. It has been over 2 years since my last trip here under the stars.

Hiking along the coastal path in the pitch black might not be for some but I enjoy the peace (except the nearby lambs)

I was lucky to have the place to myself which is rare these days, which gave me the opportunity to fall over many times with nobody noticing.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Osmington Falls

During last week I visited Osmington Mills to shoot the stars over the waterfall, the position of the Milkyway at this time of year lends to this particular composition.

I was very lucky to be greeted with clear skies with relatively low haze which allowed me to capture an unobstructed view of the night sky.

Enjoying the Stars

Shooting the night sky is a real passion of mine, it even gets me out of bed at 1am on a work night just for a chance to capture the night sky for a brief 1 hour window.

I was lucky to get an opportunity of clear skies with low haze this week and decided to carry on with adding myself in the image.

This is supposed to depict my enjoyment of this form of photography.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

On The Edge - This is my first 'astro selfie' as I am usually hidden safely behind my camera.

So this time I decided to try something different and run to the edge of the cliff with me looking up at the stars.

Stair Hole - My first Milkyway image of the year, captured at Lulworth Cove late last night.

It has been a while since I was out under the stars shooting the night sky so it was great being there again.
