INTRODUCING ME

Hi! My name's Matthew and I thought I'd do a little intro and put my face on here 📷

I have always had an interest in photography, videography and creating anything with a camera, from making stop motion shorts with Legos when I was about 11, to studying it at Uni, to now trying to make it my full time job and passion!

Some fun facts about me:

- I have personal vlogs of all my holidays dating back to 2014 🎥

- My favourite holiday is when I went to China and South Korea, and it made me want to learn Chinese Mandarin properly 🇨🇳

- I worked for Burberry for 4 years in the video team as an Editor and VFX Compositor 🖌

- I love Cats and Dogs 🐶🐱

- I have a huge interest in music and going to gigs (and shooting gigs) 🎵

I started this business as I wanted to provide high quality photos and videos to businesses around where I lived, and to gain experience in many different types of photography like portraits, product photos, events and more. I love taking photos and hope to bring that joy to others too!

AN ODE TO FILM

Film is not dead! The people crave nostalgia and beautiful colour, and I am one of those people 🕴️

Film is a great medium, but challenging. With no preview of the picture you just took till you get it back from the lab, often blurry and underexposed it can feel like an up hill battle. But sometimes you get a roll back and it's like Christmas with cherished memories coming back with crisp colours and fun snapshots ☀

I love using film, with my favourite type being Kodak Ultramax 400 for it's versatility and amazing blues and greens, but there is so many to choose from and I have barely scratched the surface. I thought I would share some of my favourite images I've taken and spread the word on just how great film is 🎞

CAN YOU NURTURE YOUR SOCIALS LIKE YOU DO YOUR SKIN?

We took some gorgeous photos and videos last week for the lovely Bespoke Beauty & Skincare to show off her amazing space, and some of the products and treatments available at her salon 🕯️💫

We did a lovely mix of both promotional photo and video to combine into posts for her socials, to add that slight bit of movement to catch the eye when scrolling through platforms. We had set out to capture a wide range of treatment scenarios, from cosy steam to polished product photography, all to tailor to posts Lauren wanted to post in the future for festive and evergreen content 🧴💨

STOP USING STOCK IMAGES AND INVEST IN YOUR BUSINESS 🏋️‍♀️

I had the pleasure of taking photos for the lovely Laura Franklin Physiotherapist this week for a full refresh of her website and socials ♻ A fun and energetic shoot that I had a great time doing

We covered a wide range of shots to really showcase the full scope of services provided at her studio space. This was more of a styled type of shoot, with Laura running through different treatments, but allowing for adjustment by myself or multiple run throughs to allow for more angels and takes. However some ideas can come in the moment, with the first and my favourite image being completely off the cuff and impromptu.

If you're looking for more of a structured content day I can offer pre-meetings or we can create mood boards to get the right type of shots for you!

ARE YOU BOOKED AND BLESSED BUT HAVE NO TIME TO SHOW THIS OFF?

Charlotte of Refined Clinic constantly has a stream of clients walking in and out of the clinic, with many procedures throughout the day, so no wonder she doesn't have the time to also capture content on top of her already busy schedule!

This is where I have been able to step in and help out, capturing an array of treatments that she has to offer within her business. Often stopping in for quick 1-2 hour shoots to photograph new and exciting treatments for future promotion, I capture documentary style shots on the fly as she works her magic ⭐

With a now great working relationship, it is so easy to capture Charlotte in action and always a joy!
