Charlotte & Matt had the most incredible wedding day last weekend at

Did I cry during the ceremony when a surprise recording of their son played before the aisle walk? Yes I did!

A beautiful celebrant led ceremony from .co.uk made for a personal and fun celebration (even including shots mid way through!) and then after a rainy start the sun came out, the vibes were immaculate and every single person involved made the day such a wonderful event to be a part of ✨

I know what you are thinking “isn’t that a behind the scenes content video in this reel”

Yes it is…

I’m not saying I won’t grab the odd little video here and there when the time allows for it, but what I am saying is I’m fully removing the pressure of “making content” from the wedding day.

Why?

Because someone’s wedding isn’t for my content it is for their memories. And I’m there to photograph that (and sometimes video it) and that’s where my attention needs to be.

The constant need to keep up with the algorithm gods is a minefield and as suppliers we all feel like we need to show up, be present and almost be mini influencers to be able to reach couples.

But for me I feel like it’s all just got a bit out of hand. And no shade to anyone who does do a load of content because if you enjoy that…go for it! But I don’t, and I’m a bit over feeling like we “need” it.

So I won’t be wearing meta glasses, you won’t see any POV of me shooting at weddings and you probably won’t see much behind the scenes content because honestly I always forget anyway!

What I will do is do my job, best I can, and continue to put my energy into how I show up on the day đź©·

Truth time

I’m sure we aren’t alone here, but social media is exhausting. The constant treadmill of posting, scheduling, showing up, making content and the goalposts change all of the time…

Not to sound old and millennial but when we started doing this, well it just wasn’t like this.

And personally? I think at the minute I would gladly throw my iPhone in the sea and delete social media if I didn’t have it for my business. Are we alone here?

And showing up is now harder that ever with a 7 month old (literally mid way through writing this caption I had to stop to feed him) and wanting him to not see the back of our phone while we are with him

So let’s be honest you won’t see us being the next big influencers or creating sh*t hot content any time soon - but we show up where it matters. In person, on the day, in our chats and talking to our couples and so if that resonates with you - maybe we would be a good fit 🩷✨

Ellis & Rob got married at The Faversham and boy oh boy was it a party!

Let’s be honest the weather was not on our side, did it stop them? Nope! Confetti down the aisle, portraits amongst the plants and cocktails in the conservatory followed by an epic sing along to wonderwall before dinner had even started!

Gorgeous speeches? Check!
Awesome brass band? Check!
A group first dance? Ding ding!

Such a fun bunch to spend a Saturday with and a pleasure to see them get to celebrate their love!

Just a few more weeks left of time off with our little boy and then it’s right back into it with three gorgeous weddings in May including a return trip to one of my fave Leeds venues 💕

The last wedding that I photographed there was SO Taylor coded! Lots of gorgeous decor and those flowers!

Can’t wait to see what May’s lovely couple has in store!

Oh hey đź‘‹

Thought it was about time to do some life updates and introductions to our newer followers now we are heading into wedding season 2026!

I’m Emily (that’s me there photographing the lovely N&S in Portugal!) I’m the photographer. The one who shows up at the wedding, takes the photos, keeps you calm and chats nonsense most of the time to make the day feel chill!

We used to be a husband & wife team until we had a big life change in 2025 and welcomed our son to the world! Now while I’m out photographing, my husband is taking care of our son…so I’m back to being a one man band so to speak! I do however sometimes hire some of my lush photography friends to come be my stand in husband and second photographer for the day!

Things to know about me…
- I’ve been a photographer all my adult life since graduating Leeds college of art when I was 21
- I’m also a qualified yoga teacher
- I’m a chronic oversharer
- I cannot pass a coffee shop without getting an oat milk latte
- My favourite tv show is The Office US
- My music taste is a terrible mix of show tunes, heavy metal and country
- My favourite animal is the humble pig
- I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like
- I cry at almost every wedding I photograph

I genuinely love what I do and while my 2026 books are full now 2027s diary is open.

I’m reducing the amount of weddings I take on for the year now that I’ve got a bebe at home and I’ll be limiting my weddings further afield (although if it’s a vibe of a day I’m still in!) so if you are looking thinking I could be someone you’d like to hang out with on your big day drop me a message or fill out our online contact form and let’s chat 🩷✨
