The calmest wedding mornings aren’t down to luck. They’re planned.🤍
After shooting weddings across South Wales, the relaxed mornings all share the same habits:
→ Undo the jewellery the night before. Out of the packet, untangled, ready to go. Same with anything boxed or wrapped.
→ Take every label and tag off. Hair accessories, shoes, dress. Future you will thank past you.
→ Steam the dress the day before, not on the morning.
→ Share one timeline with every supplier. Hair, makeup, florist, photographer. One schedule, no surprises.
→ Fill in your photographer’s questionnaire properly. Every supplier’s contact, every timing, every detail. It’s the document I use to fix things behind the scenes before you ever notice them.
→ Getting ready away from home? Confirm the changeover. Check-in time, key collection, parking, who’s bringing what. Put one person in charge of it so you’re not chasing it in your robe.
→ Pick one trusted person as your morning lead. Maid of honour, sister, best friend. They field the questions and hold the timeline so you don’t have to.
→ Choose the room with the biggest window. Natural light does the heavy lifting for hair, makeup and photos.
→ Keep the space tidy. Phones, chargers, water bottles and snack wrappers all end up in the background.
→ Build in 15 minutes of nothing. A drink, a dance, a breath with the people closest to you. That’s the bit you’ll actually remember.
Plan the morning with care and the rest of the day follows. 🤍
Save this for your own prep morning, or send it to whoever’s helping you plan.
