It's time for the Weekend Photo Project!
This week's theme: Get Closer 🔍
Your challenge this weekend is simple. Whatever you'd normally photograph, take three steps closer.
Then three more.
We have a natural tendency to stand back and fit everything in. But some of the most interesting photographs happen when you resist that instinct and move in close.
Really close. Close enough to fill the frame with just one small part of your subject.
The centre of a flower. The grain in a piece of wood. The detail on a butterfly's wing. The texture of a brick wall. Things that are completely invisible from a distance suddenly become extraordinary up close.
Here's my tip: if your camera or phone has a macro mode, now is the time to use it. Look for the small flower icon in your settings, it lets you focus much closer than usual.
Get out there this weekend and shrink your world. Share your shots in the comments below. I'd love to see what you discover when you get up close.
Same time next week, new theme. Who's in?
