With mixed emotions and after much thought, I have decided that I’m not taking on any more wedding bookings and that the time is right for me to close HedgehogVideo down, having filmed and delivered my last wedding this week.

Thank you to every couple who trusted me to capture their wedding day, that trust in me and allowing me to be part of one of the most special days in your lives was and will always be one of the greatest privileges in my life and I have special memories from every single wedding I filmed, which will stay with me always.

I filmed 100 weddings and commercial promotional films combined and created over 140 hours of fully edited footage.

I put my heart and soul into the business, creating the website in late 2016 and filming my first two weddings for free back in 2017 to prove I could do it and start building my portfolio. The business grew year on year as my reputation grew in the industry, supported by some amazing wedding suppliers and wedding venues who helped me all through my journey (I have tagged many of them below) along with my incredible wife who supported me through the good and tougher days.

I am sure it won’t be the last of me filming, I do have some ideas which could be best described as passion projects I would like to follow, which I will share on this page in the future.

So, a massive thank you again to every couple who invited me to be part of their wedding day, it was an absolute pleasure and honour!

When you have planned and dreamed of getting married outside in the woods for years and then on the day of your wedding it starts raining, I mean really raining, what do you do? For Kat & Sam the answer was simple, you embrace the rain and just go for it!

I am not going to lie, filming outside in the pouring rain is really not easy, cameras and audio equipment don’t like getting wet, but this was not my first wet wedding, so I have rain covers for my cameras and like Kat & Sam, I embraced the rain and was thrilled to be able to capture their whole wedding day.

Being England in the summer, the rain made way for a sunset and we were all able to get outside and get some more wonderful footage.

Massive thank you to Kat & Sam, along with their friends and family for letting me be part of their epic wedding.

Great to work alongside Laura Dean Photography again, we make a super team 😉

It was great being back at the stunning Tithe Barn in the lovely village of Symondsbury to capture the wedding of Amelia and Liam.

It seems to have rained almost every day since their wedding, which just highlights how lucky they were to have a dry day this summer.

A huge thank you for letting me be part of your very special day.

It’s great to be able to share the last wedding I filmed in 2022, the very lovely Kerry and Joe got married at Dillington House on the 17th December. Early morning frost made way for a glimpse of the sun in the afternoon.

Something a little different to celebrate Christmas here at Hedgehogvideo, all these pictures were created using AI, I asked the AI system for either paintings of hedgehogs at Christmas or hedgehogs getting married (a very common request I'm sure 🤣). It created all these original works, some better than others!

Dorset has many amazing wedding venues, but Lulworth Castle is one of the few that couples are happy to travel hundreds of miles to hold their weddings at due to it's grandeur and beautiful setting. Rachel and her family have holidayed in Lulworth for many years and the area and castle hold many memories for them all.

I was thrilled to be asked by Rachel & Adam to capture them creating new, very special memories at the castle. Seeing them so happy with their lovely friends and family was a real joy.

It was great to see Kevin taking the ceremony, he is always very helpful and a great ambassador for Dorset Weddings

Mapperton House's gardens were the stunning backdrop for Daniela & Zayd's very special wedding. Their personal vows, speeches and readings made their wedding so individual and highlight what a wonderful couple they are and how loved they both are by family and friends.

I had such a fantastic day filming Chloe and Zac's wedding, starting at the magnificent Milton Abbey and then on to their reception at a stunning private location outside Blandford Forum.

It was a day full of fun, love and beauty. I count myself very lucky to have been part of their stunning wedding day.
