I’m sure many of you have come across a few of these before! Having worked in front and behind the camera for 12 years, here’s a few favourites 🙃
1. Because hiring a photographer isn’t the same as a producer - Yes, they can perform the same roles but when one person is expected to do it all, chaos and stress begins and something will likely slip. Quality thrives when roles are respected.
2. Because doing something fast and cheap will rarely be good quality - If the budget is tiny and the deadline is tomorrow, something has to give. Don’t expect all the bells and whistles.
3. Because 'exposure' doesn’t pay the crew - You can’t pay rent with social tags. The only time this works is building up portfolios or it’s guaranteed to be beneficial.
4. Because Talent and Models aren’t there to guess your shots - We’re all in this together, let them see a story or moodboard. It’s great the rest of the crew knowing but they aren’t the ones trying to show your energy, product and service off in front of the camera.
Although these are things picked up along the way, i’m honestly so grateful for all the amazing brands, people, creatives, models, talent and crew I’ve worked with along the way. To finish this off, Seasons is ready for its next step. 6 DAYS UNTIL SOMETHING EXCITING IS BEGINNING FOR US 🩵
