Kat Dalli Studio Maltese artist & illustrator based in Brighton ☀️

Currently selling my work on Redbubble & Etsy Katrina Dalli was born in Malta in 1999.

Dalli is an expressive artist and illustrator who works in mixed media and likes to challenge the viewer through her activist approach. In 2022, she graduated with a BA in Fine Arts, and in 2023, she completed her MA in Sequential Design/Illustration at the University of Brighton. Dalli’s work is inspired by the world around her and her experiences, such as her prints about the meat industry and h

er drawings of everyday life. She works in various mediums including printmaking, digital work, collage, and drawings; making use of colour and texture. She has worked for a UK indie band The Othyrs designing their logo and album cover, amongst other private commissions. In 2019, Dalli participated in the MCAST ICA festival at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta. In 2022, Dalli had her photography work exhibited at Kuncett, Valletta. In that same year, she participated in the final year exhibition at MCAST, with her work being displayed at Spazju Kreattiv, Valletta. In 2023, Dalli took part in the exhibition for her MA graduate show, at the University of Brighton, City Campus. Recently, her work has been featured in the Malta Community of Illustrators yearly annual magazine which was shown at the Malta Book Festival in 2023.

In honour of tomato season, here's a few tomato drawings from the last few years!

Some unfinished, some never posted, some for private commissions, and the last one being the sticker that's still yours to get on my Etsy shop!

Fun fact, my entire lunch as a toddler was a whole tomato, eaten like an apple 🍅

Back from my unplanned rest break ✌️

Life has been going at 100% speed and needing a break is necessary sometimes!

Trying to keep up with social media is difficult too but I'm back 🙏

Two recent prints, one I like, and one I'm not sure about yet!

I like showing the reality of making artworks, whilst it seems everything looks "good" in reality there are far more "bad" sketches before I get one good one.

Making real art made with real hands is a good thing and everything is progress, so no art is bad art!

I'll continue working on the other one until I get it in the way that I pictured it in my head.
