Watching Emily (she/her) walk down the aisle with her daughter to The Detectorist’s theme absolutely destroyed me, and then I turned my lens to Dan (they/he) and could barely see through tears…these two are just *magic*
They created a day that felt so perfectly them. Getting ready at the gorgeous Courtyard Shoreditch, just them and a couple of pals. A beautiful friend-led ceremony at St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace (a new venue for me and one I’m already obsessed with) including a Natasha Beddingfield sing-along. A ghost bus tour through to Rich Mix Shoreditch for tarot readings, grazing tables, pizzas, board games and moshing to Tenacious D.
My favourite part of the day was stealing them away for an evening stroll around Shoreditch for some portraits. The heat had finally cooled a little and the East Londoners could not have been better hype people.
Three London weddings in a heatwave? Completed it, mate.
