Such a funny act, brilliantly ensuring the audience had a great time. If you missed it, make sure you catch them at the Dome. Special mention to the Spiegeltent lighting crew for their understated yet dazzling lighting. It's my favourite venue to photograph at.

Stage artists who choose to include the crowd have a valuable skill most people envy – a ‘quick read’ of other people. The consequences of getting it wrong are a high level of embarrassment for all concerned but I’ve never seen any of these acts fail yet.

With a photographic career spanning over 30 years, I’ve diversified my portfolio to incorporate different types of photography – after all, 30 years of one style would bore the pants off anyone even remotely creative and result in stale and tired work.
Essentially, it’s people or places for me. These are the things which ignite my curiosity and I shape them both by controlling light and composition. That’s all photography is, after all.

Hoop acts are among the fastest acts I photograph - especially those on wheels! - and I have one guideline when shooting them. It seems obvious but you'd be surprised how difficult it can be.
