20 FENCHURCH STREET
Also referred to its nickname as ‘The Walkie Talkie Building’ 20 Fenchurch Street is a commercial skyscraper located in the historic financial district in the City of London. Designed by architect Rafael Viñoly and costing an astonishing £200 Million to complete, 20 Fenchurch Street features a highly distinctive top-heavy form that appears to bust upward and outward. The 34-storey building is 525 feet tall, making it the sixth-tallest building in the City of London and the 12th tallest in London.

Construction was completed in spring 2014, with the top-floor Skygarden opening later on January 2015. The 508 feet high viewing platform is spread across the top three floors of the building, offering spectacular views of the Capitals skyline and beyond, all while in a tropical paradise.

20 Fenchurch Street is one of my favorite buildings to photograph within this district of the city, as the contrast between the linear angles of the external skeleton in contrast with the dramatic curve of the structure itself, helps to create some really interesting results.
