I've been a bit quiet on here recently, it's been lovely to have some time out from the exhibition and live in the real world again. has been open for 1 month now, I'm so thankful for everyone that's gone to see it and has shared photos with me. It's been great using the exhibition as a platform for conversations about the ring road and Coventrys architecture as a whole. The exhibition is still on for another 2 weeks!

Whilst I was enjoying some Insta-silence I spoke to about the exhibition, have a read by following the link in my bio.

Tonight at 8pm on , duo (and my bezzie mates) Moonth & Hue will be playing a special mix inspired by and the Coventry ring road.

“This hour-long mix accompanies Tom Illsley’s Concrete Collar exhibition. Curated by Coventry’s Moonth & Hue of Ghost Town, the mix explores the duo's connection to the ring road, whilst weaving in field recordings and bespoke tracks created using the road itself. Bringing together songs which represent different aspects of the ring road, such as it’s texture, tone, rhythm, dynamics and colour. Some of the more melancholic songs reflect personal memories of driving on the road whilst listening to music late at night.”j.silver ❤️❤️❤️

Couple of install shots of Concrete Collar at , open until the end of June!
The light in the space is fantastic, constantly changing and pulsating with the movement of the trees outside. Feel very fortunate to have an exhibition in such a magical space.
