In search of a Thin Place part 2

Thin Place is an ancient Celtic term for places on the earth where it is believed there is a thin divide between the physical and the spiritual.

The Journey

It was said the Island of Iona is a Thin place,
I knew I wanted to go there, and when I got there I didn’t want to leave.

I don't know much about sailing, but my husband Terry said, it was like we put up our sail and surrendered to the wind.
Or perhaps we were a bit more like the ancient monks we got into our little Coracle boat and were washed up on the shore.

In Search Of A Thin Place? Part 1

She Spoke wisdom into the zoom space, she cupped her hand and whispered in my ear.
“Push the doors and pray for peace”, so far my dear friend had moved 28 times in her married life, she knew how to pray for peace.

How did I get loosened from a city I loved, a city where I thought I would end my days?
Even now I can close my eyes and breathe in the very feel of the streets.
Brighton was intoxicating, it saturated my senses, creative, challenging, full of life.
Sometimes crazy and overwhelming but for me a place of community, friendship and acceptance.
I said it was as though I should have always lived there, I'd found my tribe.
Orange, red and purple hair had been my normal but now it actually was normal.

But then there was the search.
