sentation. Film photography places an emphasis on ensuring the picture is right in the first place and then imperfections are embraced once the film is developed. The world around us is not air-brushed, and Fotobes uses film as he feel this gives photographs more character, in the same way that whilst listening to music on vinyl isn’t as “perfect” as CD or digital, it has more soul.

Looking back on 2024, the year had some incredible highlights and some very low lows. I’m choosing to remember fun times with family and friends, great parties, holidays to exotic lands, laughs, smiles and hugs. Thank you to friends, colleagues, friends who also happen to be colleagues, family and most of all to Jess for keeping me guessing and keeping me going. Pinky: I love this image partly because both Felix and I are in it, but also because it shows off Felix’s distinctive “pinky out” style when taking a photograph. I’ve recently completed one of my favourite film swaps. It was with Felix, and was his first film swap. He’s been taking a keen interest in shooting film and has got to grips with a 35mm SLR. We each shot a roll of LomoChrome Purple and of LomoChrome Turquoise and we’ll be posting some of our favourites.
