A recent kitchen for Fallow Workshops, photographed in London.

With spaces like this, I’m always trying to let the light do most of the work. It’s a balance between holding onto the natural feel of the room, while shaping things just enough so the details sit clearly and consistently across the set.

A lot of this came down to patience - waiting for the light to settle, keeping the tones clean, and making sure each frame felt like part of the same conversation rather than a collection of individual shots.

Simple, quiet, and considered.

Not something I share all that often, but a side of my work I’m keen to show a bit more of.

Alongside residential interiors and food, I regularly photograph commercial spaces, projects like this one for AIS Workplace, where the focus shifts slightly towards how a space works, not just how it looks.

There’s a different rhythm to these environments. More movement, more interaction, and a real emphasis on flow - how people move through the space, where they pause, where they connect.

This project leans into that beautifully. Soft curves, layered lighting, and a material palette that feels calm but purposeful, designed to support both focus and conversation.

Captured in the same way I approach all my work: keeping things natural, considered, and letting the space speak for itself.

Another look at this beautiful kitchen for Fallow Workshops.

It’s one of those spaces that immediately settles you — soft light, warm tones, everything sitting exactly where it should. There’s a real sense of quiet to it.

Rather than overworking it, I wanted the images to follow that same feeling. Keeping things simple, letting the light lead, and allowing the space to breathe.

Sometimes the best approach is just to step back and let the room do what it already does so well.

A room that reveals itself slowly through light.

Designed as an office with the feel of a whisky room, this space came alive in the way the daylight moved across the oak panelling and settled into the corners. Moments like this are why I’m always drawn to working with natural light, letting the atmosphere of a room speak for itself.

The living room at The Hampshire House Project, designed by Sarah Hustler Interiors.

One of those spaces where everything just settles into place - soft, even light, considered colour, and a real sense of balance through the room.

The fireplace naturally became the anchor, with those quieter moments around it doing just as much of the work.

A very enjoyable one to photograph.

Some spaces just stop you in your tracks - this was certainly one of them.

This kitchen, photographed for Fallow Workshops, had that rare kind of light you hope for but almost never walk into. Soft, directional, pouring in at just the right angle and holding beautifully across the space.

As a natural light photographer, it felt like everything was already there, just waiting to be captured. One of those shoots where you’re quietly aware you’re onto something special from the moment you set up.

Without question, one of my favourite kitchens I’ve photographed to date.

Kentucky Fried Partridge at The Great Bustard - a Wiltshire pub with a real sense of place, where the food, setting and atmosphere all feel considered without being overworked.

A dish full of texture and contrast, perfect with a beer at the bar or as a starter.

Shot in natural light, keeping things honest and letting the details speak for themselves.

A quiet corner of a bedroom in Verbier, designed by .

The brief here was to hold onto the atmosphere of the space - letting the shadows stay deep rather than lifting everything for the sake of brightness. It’s always a balance, but in this case the mood really comes from what you don’t see as much as what you do.

Working with the soft window light and keeping the palette restrained allowed the textures and details to sit naturally, without feeling overworked.

A lovely project to shoot, and always a pleasure to work in Verbier, a ski resort in the Alps that I’ve spent a lot of time in over the years.

Hello, and welcome. With a raft of new followers recently, and a New Year just kicking off, I thought it time to reintroduce myself here on the gram!

I’m Robin - a photographer specialising in interiors, architecture and hospitality, working across the South West, the Cotswolds, London and further afield.

My work sits somewhere between editorial and commercial. I’m drawn to spaces with character, good light and a sense of calm, and I try to photograph them in a way that feels natural and considered - nothing too forced or over-styled.

I work primarily with interior designers, architects, property and hospitality brands, and alongside this I’m beginning to share more food-focused work, closely tied to hospitality and lifestyle projects.

Here you’ll see a mix of finished projects, behind-the-scenes moments, personal shoots and the things that inspire me day-to-day.

When I’m not behind the camera, my partner Georgie and I are raising our young daughter India - splitting our time between the food scene around Bath and Bristol, exploring the Wiltshire countryside, and slowly finishing the renovation of our Grade II listed house.

If you’re new, thanks for being here - and if you’ve been around a while, it’s good to start the year together.
