A wedding ceremony quite unlike anything I’ve photographed before.

Both the bride and groom work in the world of TV and film, so naturally they leaned into it and chose a grade II listed cinema for their ceremony. They even produced a full wedding film to show their popcorn munching guests before everything started. A tough act for the rest of the day to follow.

After that it was back to Coombe Lodge and its scenic grounds for the reception, dinner and party. Always a brilliant place for a celebration.

Not sure where the last four months went, but here we are.

A delightful wedding from towards the end of last year. My first time here and hopefully not my last. I do have a soft spot for South Devon. It’s where I got married, so I may be biased.

I met one of these brides a few years ago at another wedding near Epping and gave them a lift back to Bristol railway station. I guess this was them returning the favour in a fairly big way.

First weddings of 2026 are coming up, so I’ll pretend to be more consistent from now on.

Wedding season may be winding down, but we’re not quite ready to hang up the cameras yet. As the bags under my eyes grow ever darker, we're on the final stretch to the time when I can finally start replying to emails in an adequate time frame. Autumn’s here in full force: crunchy leaves, cooler evenings, and sunsets that insist on colliding with speeches. This one from last week was a beauty - a family garden wedding looking out across the Salisbury countryside with a suitably lively bunch of guests that did not shy away from the table wine. Thank you for having me F&B.

When your wedding’s in the family garden, you’ve got the perfect excuse to get creative. So naturally, the groom built an entire mini golf course for the drinks reception. Ceremony at the local church, then back home for a garden party full of DIY charm, personality and cowboy hats. Oh, and a whisky tent - because nothing says “happily ever after” like a dram (or three) with your mates.

My first time at Eltham Palace and it didn’t disappoint - glamorous art deco interiors, picture-perfect gardens, and not a drop of rain in sight. After the week we’d had, I was half-expecting to need a canoe, but the weather behaved impeccably.

Another venue first for me at the very lovely - a venue so rural I was beginning to doubt my van could make it. We were graced with some traditional Dartmoor weather, and the groom had all the enthusiasm for portraits of a cat being offered a bath. The vibes were high and the dance moves low. My brief was to go candid crazy - which is exactly the sort of brief I adore. I still made the groom suffer through five minutes of portraits though, because that’s the kind of guy I am.

And a mention to the other suppliers! The hair and make up hype girls in the morning and Daisy for supplying a vegan pasty in my time of need.

delivering the goods at this wedding: sunshine on tap, a tearful groom, a bride who can’t stop giggling, a mum who doubles as Mary Berry, and a brother who could single-handedly run a village fete. A lovely day with some very lovely people.

My first and last wedding at Chedington, as they are sadly not hosting weddings anymore! But it ended on a high with this absolute stunner of a day. Filled to the brim with all the emotions - it was a joy to shoot for two of the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure to meet.

Big thanks to the other suppliers!

Organising a wedding from overseas is not an easy task, but these two managed to pull it all together with style and even brought the sunset with them! I do love any excuse to travel to North Devon, so any one else getting married there - please do drop me a message! Thank you for having me and looking forward to sharing more soon!

A big thanks to the suppliers for helping put it all together.

What a day! Back at the stunning for a very mixed bag of weather. I must have opened and put away my umbrella about 50 times, but I do like the variety in light these sorts of days give you. I love coming here - not just because the place is beautiful, but it means I get to wake up in Elan Valley the next day! Lots of thought and creativity had been put into this wedding as you would expect when the bride is a very talented creative herself - Here are a few frames from the day that caught my eye. Plenty more to come!
