For nearly nine months, my body hasn’t just been my own: it’s been home to my baby girl. It has given her everything she’s needed to grow. Diverting energy, nutrients and resources away from me and into her, putting her needs before mine every single day.

It has been, without a doubt, the most physically and emotionally challenging thing I’ve ever experienced. And somehow, at the very same time, the most beautiful.

Now, in these final few weeks, I find myself desperately ready for this chapter of discomfort to end. I’m ready to meet her. To see the little face I’ve spent months imagining. To finally hold the person I’ve already grown to love. But it also feels bittersweet to know this is also the end of something.

For nearly nine months, it has just been the two of us. She has been with me everywhere, every walk, every journey, every quiet moment. Soon, I’ll have to share her with the rest of the world. While I can’t wait for everyone who loves us to meet her, there’s something incredibly precious about these final days where she is still entirely mine and I am entirely hers.

So for now, I’m trying to slow down and appreciate this little life we’ve shared before everything changes forever 🩷✨

A big thank you to Laura Pennafort | Wildlife for taking these final bump pics for us to document this journey.

Highlights from a busy but special few days ✨

I never imagined I’d be photographing a wedding at 8 months pregnant, but I made it! It was definitely a challenge, but such a lovely day to be part of, especially getting to shoot with my sister for a day 💛

Then I also headed to Kent for the opening of the Small Cat Rescue Centre at The Big Cat Sanctuary. It was so special to see it finally open after so much hard work, and I couldn’t be prouder of my friend Cam Whitnall and his team, who have dedicated countless hours over the past year to help rescue multiple small cats and give them the second chance they deserve 🦁❤️

Some highlights from heading out with my camera over the past couple of months, that I’d not gotten round to sharing yet. All of these will feature more in my next vlog, about filming in my second trimester 🤰🏻🎥

My first time filming dippers in the UK. Unfortunately I picked the hottest day ever recorded to do so, but was lovely to get a glimpse of them nonetheless!

Baby raccoon in Berlin 🦝

Taking my baby girl out for adventures before she’s even here yet 🤰🏻🩷

How beautiful is this tree?!

Magical moments watching a grey wagtail feeding its young in the nest 🪺✨

More dipper action!

The sound of running water is one of my favourite things. I always find it so peaceful ☺️

Whilst filming a raccoon inside a hole in a tree, an unexpected visitor joined the frame 🥹

Goodbye 👋🏻😂✨
