Throwback to when I caught sunset through the Arc de Triomphe, Paris.
Complete fluke, we happened to be in Paris for the weekend. We happened to have late afternoon tickets to climb it, it happened to be sunset when we were still in the area.
Found out subsequently this is a shot people plan meticulously for months 😂

🌌 The Soul Nebula

8 hours. Two nights. Thousands of light-years.

This is IC 1848 — the Soul Nebula, a vast stellar nursery around 7,500 light-years from Earth, where new stars are being born amongst enormous clouds of glowing hydrogen and cosmic dust.

The photons captured in this image began their journey around 5,500 BC — long before Stonehenge, writing, or the pyramids existed.

Captured over two nights with the Dwarf 3, then processed in Siril & GraXpert, with final touches in Lightroom.

Every tiny star in this frame is part of our Milky Way. ✨

Final eclipse photo from myself…. Perhaps ever? I certainly won’t be around for the next one in the UK to this level.
That’s quite a sobering thought and the reason why it was so important for me to capture this time around.
