Lizzie & Max, the beach house edition

After their legal ceremony with close family in Bristol, Lizzie and Max celebrated with their best friends on the Welsh coast in a private house on a secluded cove near Tenby.

To photograph their legal wedding and “non legal” wedding was such an amazing experience, two different vibes, two completely different settings, but both were a beautiful celebrating of such a warm, kind and fun couple that is obviously loved by so many people!

And they lucked out not once but twice with the weather which was some kind of sorcery 🌞

The best kind of anniversary recap

Being the photographer of someone’s wedding day is such an honour it’s pretty hard to top… having the pleasure of photographing someone’s life as they moved cities, grow from two people to three and celebrate an anniversary - that is such huge privilege.

I think it’s way overdue - a little REINTRODUCTION

Hey, it’s been a fair while since I last got myself in front of the camera and showed my face around here. Low season is the best time for a refresh, and these were so fun. Actually looking at how much me & my business have changed in the two years since I last took headshots is wild, it’s been an amazing journey

So here’s some things about me you may or may not already know that aren’t weddings or photography related:

• I love secondhand & thrifting
• my dog is a wheaten terrier called Peach
• I’m passionately vegetarian
• we live in a little town just south of Bath
• my husband and I love a project - we’re currently buying a doer-upper house

All of that, and I have the best job that’s ever existed- being a wedding photographer has put me on a path the I didn’t even know was possible for me but also my family. I’m forever grateful for all the amazing people i get to meet along the way, the couples who trust me with their most important memories and the industry that constantly demonstrates community over competition

I’m an open book, and I love having a chat so ask me anything in the comment 🫶🏻

Indi & Charlie in Hackney

Indi and Charlie got married in Hackney Town Hall, the winter sun just held back the rain for long enough to make the most of their favourite nearby spots in the place they call home. Their families had made the long journey all the way from Australia to be with them which made their ceremony and speeches even more special and emotional.

Hackney will always be such a special place to photograph weddings, I’ve had some real career light-bulb moments here and it never fails to bring the right energy for a wedding day

My January Netflix watch list — curated for moody winter days that call for something a little more cinematic.

As a photographer, I’m always on the lookout for films and series worth rewatching when I need visual inspiration. These are the three Netflix picks I watched (or rewatched) this January:

• House of Guinness — dark, moody, and dripping in atmosphere. The family scenes were a standout for me.
• Seven Dials — I loved the use of negative space. Not groundbreaking, but an easy watch that does more right than most.
• Train Dreams — visually stunning and cinematically brilliant. One of the best films I’ve seen in years. A masterpiece. 10/10. No notes.

That’s my January watch list — what should I add for February?
