The chilled nature of the Algarve, Portugal.

I got to visit parts of the Algarve last year and experience how beautiful it is there!
Whilst I would have loved to have captured more of the coastline, the streets were absolutely amazing for street photography.

The beautiful textures and peaceful moments where you can people-watch for hours are so nice to capture.

My favourite spot was the Lagos old town. I could have wandered around there for ages.

These were all captured on my Fujifilm X100VI. Whilst I did bring my Canon R5, I found the size of the Fuji was a lot easier to walk around with and be conspicuous for capturing those natural street photography moments, but I do wish I had captured more on my Canon.

Have you been before?

Finding light in the forests - Australia

I’ve recently come back from a trip visiting family over in Australia. This was my first ever time there, and I had the best time exploring the Glass House Mountains in Queensland with my sister and nephew.

Whilst I was mainly out there to spend time with family, of course I had to bring the camera.
Unlike the UK heat right now, the weather there was beautiful!!

The forests and woodlands there were absolutely beautiful to photograph! With so many little details, light and colour to capture, these locations were perfect for photography.

I did get to spot a variety of wildlife over there, but no snakes or spiders before anyone asks! We had spotted this little kookaburra sitting in one of the trees begging for a photograph to be taken of it!

Sunlight through the gardens.

The current UK heatwave reminds me of the time I visited Kew Gardens on the hottest day of the year after a very long streak of hot weather in the UK.
Whilst I absolutely melted, the photography opportunities were endless with that sunlight!

Kew Gardens is pretty spectacular for photography anyway, but when the light shines through spots like the Palm House, it looks incredible!

If you’re both a lover of photography and nature/plant life, then it’s definitely worth visiting.

I’m capturing the rain… 🎵

Something I don’t do often enough is photograph in the rain. I think I need to plan something in for next time it rains.
Photography in the rain accentuates so many surrounding features. Like the texture on buildings, the light cascading across cobbled streets, dark and moody shadows. Extra characteristics that can bring your photography to life.

Now if you haven’t got a weather-sealed camera or lenses, it’s not something I’d recommend trying, but if you do, I’d definitely recommend trying to capture some unique moments in the rain.

AD | have just launched the Osmo Mobile 8P.

This brand-new phone gimbal has some really useful features packed in.
If you shoot a lot of content on your phone and want something to help elevate your content or want something to help you achieve angles you haven’t been able to, then this might be for you.

The tracking options are excellent, giving you plenty of flexibility regardless of which camera app you want to film with. The tracking module paired with the removable remote makes for excellent solo content creation, allowing you to remotely control the gimbal and track subjects using the live view stream on the remote.

Paired with the Mimo app, you can get some amazing additional features with the creative modes and a whole host of editing features.

As a photographer and videographer, I’m often in situations where I don’t have a camera on me, but I still want to capture the moment with a professional and creative look. With this compact folding stabiliser, I can pull this out of a small bag or jacket pocket and get super smooth, stabilised footage straight on my phone.

This is a lot of fun to use and perfect for both casual content creators and phone filmmakers.

If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me in the comments!

Going from Spring into Summer.

Summer usually isn’t my favourite time of year for photography. However, we do get some absolutely incredible sunsets.

For photography, I love that transition into spring, and as we slowly move into summer, the harsh sunlight forces me to spend my early mornings or evenings out with the camera capturing the start and end of the summer light.

These are a small selection of shots I’ve taken over the years through this seasonal transition.
I’ve got some new photos I’m editing currently, but I’ve not had much of a chance to head out with the camera for myself.
Once my workload starts to quieten down, I’m heading straight out to capture a load more photos for myself and get out exploring again!

My love for street photography.

Since I started photography, I’ve gone through trying many styles, which have led me to loving a combination of travel, nature, and street photography.

Something that I arguably enjoy capturing the most is street photography. Don’t get me wrong, I love planning out amazing travel locations and capturing places in the perfect light, but I find the casual unpredictability of street photography so exciting. There’s always something to capture, but how do you capture it in a way that tells the story you want to tell?

I love a bit of people watching. Through photography, I find that you can almost capture the lives of those around you in street photography in a really unique way.

These are just a small selection of some of my favourite street shots from Venice, Bath, the Algarve, and London.

AD | Introducing the DJI Mic Mini 2.

have just announced their latest wireless microphone.
A lightweight and versatile wireless microphone for filmmakers, content creators, and vloggers.

It might be mini, but the audio quality is absolutely brilliant.
It offers a variety of connection options with different receivers, but with OsmoAudio, if you own an Osmo Pocket 3 or 4, or an Osmo Nano, you can connect them directly for a convenient but premium sound quality for your footage.

With automatic limiting to prevent your audio from clipping, two levels of active noise cancellation, and 3 voice tone presets, this gives you lots of creative control and allows you to get great-sounding audio with ease.

At just 11 grams, 11.5 hours of battery life (48 hours with the charging case), this is a great microphone for those creators looking for a compact and convenient audio setup, or for those just starting out in their content creation journey.

This is definitely a must-have mini wireless microphone at £89 for the kit!

World Earth Day.

I’m a little late to posting my World Earth Day post, but better late than never.

This planet has so much incredible beauty to photograph.
From the beautiful Lofoten Islands, to the Italian Dolomites, there’s so much to explore.

Every time I travel with a camera, I’m reminded of how endlessly photogenic this world is. Golden hour over the fjords, dramatic light breaking through mountain peaks, scenes that make you stop and breathe it in before you press the shutter.

Photography has given me a reason to explore, and exploration has given me so much love for this planet.

Spring road trips with the BYD ATTO 3 EVO.uk

This is a car designed with real attention to detail, and it shows the moment you get up close. The exterior has a confident, sculpted look that sits somewhere between a practical family SUV and something with a bit more personality. Clean lines, a strong stance, and a presence that feels considered rather than generic.

Inside, the design continues to impress. The 15.6-inch infotainment screen dominates the dash in the best way, paired with an 8.8-inch driver display running Google Maps natively. It’s a modern, well-laid-out interior that feels premium without being overcomplicated. The heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats are the kind of details that make a long drive genuinely comfortable.

The boot is enormous. 95 litres up front and over 1,300 litres in the back with the seats folded, designed to carry more without ever feeling bulky.

And on a longer day out, knowing you can go from 10% to 80% charge in 25 minutes takes a lot of the mental load out of trip planning. Quick stops, not long waits.
The Brecon Beacons made for a pretty good backdrop. Swipe through for a closer look.

Thank you .uk for the loan of the ATTO 3 EVO
