Hi, I'm a multi award wining fine art photographer from the south-west of England. I seem to have owned DSLR's forever, but it’s only recently that I have started to take this hobby a little more seriously. In the past two years I have been lucky enough to win "Wex Photographer of the Year" for two years running (2016 - 2017) and have also won the “Your View” Category in Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2017.

A couple variations on a very simple woodland scene. I never try to capture too much in my woodland scenes, usually focussing on one main character and a few accompanying elements. It’s not always possible but I try to keep the sky out of the frame, peoples thoughts vary on this, but I find the contrast too distracting.
For me the second image here is a good example of too much bright sky to the upper left, although it still has a nice feel to the shot and I’m sure some will prefer it. Hasselblad KaseFiltersUK South West Optics

SPOTLIGHT - Just found this one in my 2024 archive, no idea why I didn’t process it at the time. Kept this one really dark and emphasised the light coming in through the canopy behind the mossy tree. I did also photograph this tree using my Hasselblad 500cm Film camera this year.
