Last year, we had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Durand & Vicky on the 25th of May, a day filled with love, laughter, and plenty of dancing.
The celebrations began at their home with all the hair and makeup preparations, which is always one of my favourite parts of the day. From there it was on to the BCP Registration Service Guild Hall, where everyone gathered to watch the happy couple say “I do.” This was especially touching as some close family members had travelled all the way from South Africa to be there, making the moment even more meaningful.
After the Ceremony we headed to the suspension bridge for photos, and the timing could not have been better. The field nearby was full of beautiful buttercups, creating a sea of yellow that made the perfect backdrop for their photographs.
The celebrations then continued at The Hamworthy Club for more family photos, followed by a lovely meal. Durand & Vicky's daughter was the 'Master of Ceremony', and did brilliantly, introducing everyone and making sure everything stayed on time, plus, doing a speech herself. Durand & Vicky had taken dance lessons for their first dance, which made that moment even more special. Soon after, the dance floor filled for a lively barn dance with plenty of laughter, spinning and clapping along. And just when you thought things might slow down, the disco started! One thing is certain this crowd loves to dance, and they are very good at it. The dance floor stayed full well into the evening.
Durand & Vicky, thank you for letting us capture such a joyful day. It was truly a wedding to remember. We wish you happiness always xx
