To raise funds for Arran Youth Foundations, leader Graeme Johnston trained for five months to run right round the Isle of Arran in one day — a distance of 56 miles — the equivalent of two marathons plus four more miles. This video compresses 14+ hours of his extraordinary effort into just 19 minutes, with Graeme's commentary recorded as he ran.

How Easily We Miscommunicate...

A recent order of DVD cases didn’t arrive, holding up our delivery of DVDs for a client (yes, some people still want DVDs!) so I chased up the company by e-mail.

They arrived the next day, followed by this solicitous e-mail:

'Hello there just checking the DVD cases have arrived? ‘

…to which I responded:

“Yes thanks, they arrived this morning - and have already been used!”

Another e-mail came in immediately...

'I’m glad you got them okay, I can assure you they haven’t been used!'

On Saturday 3rd November, our new comedy film UNCOWED had its first screening in Corrie & Sannox village hall, on the Isle of Arran. Thanks to JVC, who very generously loaned a state-of-the-art ultra-high definition video projector, the invited audience of 80 cast, crew and supporters enjoyed a tip-top presentation of the film on a ten-foot screen.
Today we have offered our film to the Screen Machine, Scotland's wonderful mobile cinema, ahead of it going online. We think our island-based comedy will appeal to other Scottish communities, but none more so than Arran's populace.
