Universal Broadcast was the official media supplier to the ICFCanoe ocean racing world championships , held in Durban south Africa this past weekend.

Our role was simple...cover the biggest paddling race in surfski history live and bring the story to the world .

We built a bespoke remote cloud based broadcast system , with our own GPS tracking , commentary in Cananda, graphics in Cape town and Directing form the united kingdom . 6 main cameras on boats with drone and cameras all using 4g bonded video encoders from with presenters onsite all linked via the ccloud with just a 2 second latency .
The team was superb and the system was a test for a product we are rolling out to sports events around the world.

We also did a case study test with Bestseat360.TV a user engagament platform and the results are very positive as we look to build that relationship for a paddling product as well as other sports too where users can be in the moment and watch the sport from their chosen POV , watch one , or watch it all and we believe that is the future of live streaming .
