Idle hill Reservoir, Sat high above Bradford near Thackly sits this underground res, Abandoned and sat derelict for a few years its architecture gives great photos of leading lines and parallel composition.

Just one shot to share today, Walking in the woods on a funghi hunt and i saw the path meandering into the trees, One small bunch on berries to add a small bit of redness to the autumn yellows and golds and the green of the pines, Just had to take the shot.

Cromwells Bridge, An old packhorse bridge built by Sir Richard Shireburn of the Stoney-hurst Estate to cross the river Hodder, The bridge was later re named Cromwells bridge as this is where he crossed with his new model army on the way to the battle of Preston in 1648.
In later life the bridge was thought to be Tolkiens inspiration in the Lord of the rings of the shires brandy-wine bridge as close by is the convergence of the Hodder, Calder and river Ribble and is very similar to Tolkiens map of the shire where the rivers Withywindle, Shirebourne and brandywine converge.
The old bridge was replaced in 1819 to carry the B6234 to Whalley over the Hodder.
