Warning. I had an interesting variation on the “you have been charged for Amazon Prime” telephone scam call, supposedly from Visa today This one was “a train ticket from St Pancras to Edinburgh”, also from a mobile number and claiming to be from Visa. So watch out.

I’m not using FB so much now. I used to use it a lot to keep in touch with friends. Now I get a constant stream of Ads and clickbait. Som is mildly interesting, but mostly not. I have to spend far too long scrolling past rubbish in case I can find a post from an actual friend. What started out as a great idea seems to be self destructing due to the need to make a profit. Not necessarily against that, but perhaps it’s inevitable.

Hi folks. Just a quick note to say "thank you" for your custom, friendship, and assistance. I have now officially retired. That's the objective anyway, although I may be tempted if there is anything particularly interesting in the way of occasional fashion or commercial work. :-)

I've been doing some photography for pub web sites recently - really nice pubs and great landlords. What's not to like? Mind you, it technically more challenging than you might think - very dark inside, except for occasional very bright pools of light by the windows. Tripod, long exposures and fill flash are essential.
