Nevada Desert ⛰ 🌵
The road from Zion to Las Vegas is pretty bare once you get into Nevada. There was a small town at the border of Arizona and Nevada but after that it was desert. This photo was taken near the Valley of Fire. The sun went behind the clouds and created this cool layered effect on the desert mountains. Let me know what you think!

Parlor Palm Jungle 🌴
This photo is pretty basic but I liked the simplicity of the palm fronds and the light that was hitting them. The different shade of green for each frond and the dark black beneath gave this photo something. Let me know what you think!

Utah On the Road 🌱 🏜
The road between Page Arizona and Bruce Canyon is a beautiful drive. This is just one of many pullouts you can stop at. This one is near Kanab Utah. I zoomed in on this fence post at 250mm and had a large red mountain in the background. Let me know what you think!

Sea Oats 🌊 🌾
Sea oats again.. the evening sun was casting golden light onto these oats blowing in the wind. I waited to capture the photo until there was a crashing wave behind them to complete the beach look. Let me know what you think!

Grand Canyon Layers B&W!
The Grand Canyon really is grand. I don’t think pictures will ever truly be able to do it justice but is a great place for photography. There are so many different compositions you can make at each of the many vistas not to mention going down into the Canyon. This particular shot I chose black and white because there was a small fire on the north rim and created this gradient of clarity. I think this photo being black and white really brings focus to the depth of the Canyon and the many buttes and valleys in the Canyon. Let me know what you think!

The Castillo De San Marcos 🏰
This fort is in Saint Augustine, Florida. It is one of the oldest European forts in the United States. I got this photo on a cloudy day which brings all the focus to the old coquina that the fort is made out of. Let me know what you think!

Sunrise Point, Bryce Canyon!
🌄
Bryce Canyon faces east and west so normally the sunrises are best since they light up the Canyon rather than shadow the Canyon. Unfortunately while I was there I didn’t really get the dramatic clouds I was hoping for but I did manage to get these nice purple clouds that complement the Canyon nicely. This is at Sunrise Point and I really found this pine tree very interesting as it’s roots were exposed above ground! Let me know what you think!

Jacksonville Beach Bubble Sunset! 🌅
I found some wave bubbles on Jacksonville Beach that we’re popping really slowly. The waves had receded so when I took the 10 second exposure the clouds had reflected on the wet sand. Let me know what you think!

Balanced Rock in Marble Canyon
Marble Canyon is probably one of the hottest places I have ever been. Balanced Rock is a giant rock balanced on a small rock formed from erosion. I found a small desert bush for the foreground and put balanced rock in the mid ground with the Canyon and the sky in the background. A simple exposure at 1/500 of a second and an aperture of f11. Let me know what you think!

Sea Oats Sunset 🌅 🌱
Back to the sea oats again... They are probably my favorite plant at the beach. I think they make a great silhouette for a sunset photo. This was taken on Clearwater Beach as the sun was approaching the horizon during the “golden hour”. What’s your favorite plant at the beach? Is it normal to have one? Let me know what you think!

Bryce Canyon Sands 🏜
Bryce Canyon is know for its unique sweeping canyons which are amazing! Sometimes tho I like to focus on the overlooked details such as the layered sands in Bryce Canyon. These orange and white sands are the result of the erosion that has formed Bryce Canyon! The evening sun lit the sand up and made for an interesting minimalist photo. Let me know what you think!
