Some weddings are remembered because everything goes exactly to plan.
Chloe & Bam’s is remembered because it didn’t.

I remember chatting beforehand about how much they were hoping for a dry day. Then the rain came... and it really came. 🌧️

But do you know what? If you hadn’t been there, you’d never know it wasn’t the wedding they’d imagined.

They embraced every second of it.

The clear umbrellas came out, everyone laughed, nobody hid away and somehow the rain made everything feel even more romantic.

There was something so cinematic about it all. I always think there’s a reason that, when something really special happens in a romantic film, it starts raining. It slows everything down, makes people hold each other a little tighter and creates this atmosphere that you just can’t plan for.

Looking back now, I honestly can’t imagine your wedding any other way.
Then, as soon as the music started, the weather didn’t matter anymore. You both spent the evening exactly as every couple should... completely wrapped up in your favourite people, dancing your hearts out and celebrating the fact you’d just married your best friend.

I think your wedding is such a lovely reminder that the weather doesn’t make a wedding. The people do.

Thank you both for trusting me to capture it all and for reminding so many future couples that sometimes the unexpected becomes the part of the story you end up loving the most.

Happy Anniversary to two of my absolute favourites. 🤍

I still think about Anya & JK’s wedding so often.

Some people smile when the camera comes out. These two just couldn’t stop smiling all day. From the moment Anya started walking down the aisle, to JK trying (and almost failing!) to hold it together during the ceremony, to everyone cheering them through the confetti, the whole day just felt full of happiness. It was impossible not to come home smiling after photographing it.

One of my favourite parts of this job isn’t actually the wedding day though. It’s everything that comes afterwards.

Towards the end of last year we met up for a catch up, and it was one of those afternoons where you completely forget you first met because of a wedding. We chatted about life, what they’d been up to and all the exciting things still to come. That’s honestly one of my favourite things about this job. So many of my couples become friends, and getting to watch your lives grow after the wedding is something I’ll never take for granted.

And now... you’ve welcomed your beautiful little baby into the world. 🥹

It makes me so happy knowing I was there to capture one chapter of your story, and now another little chapter has begun.

Thank you, Anya & JK, not just for trusting me with your wedding day, but for being such wonderful friends too. Couples like you are the reason I love what I do so much.

There are always moments that make me stop while I’m editing, and Lou & Dan’s wedding had so many of them. 🤍

Lou had hand-painted every single vase for their seating plan, each one with beautiful floral designs and a guest’s name. I kept wandering back over to look at them because they were so thoughtful and just completely them.

And then there was the wedding party… 😂 They absolutely understood the assignment and brought SO much energy.

From their outdoor ceremony at Silchester Farm, to a drinks reception full of happy people, to everyone completely losing themselves when the band started… this day was such a joy.

I always think the weddings people remember most are the ones that feel unapologetically like the couple. The handmade touches, your favourite people, the slightly chaotic bits and all those tiny moments in between.

Lou & Dan, yours absolutely did. 🤍

Happy first anniversary Louise & Nathan. 🤍

This was one of those weddings that reminds me why I love intimate celebrations so much.

It was just Louise, Nathan, their little boy Jude and the people who mean the most to them. The whole day felt relaxed, full of love and completely centred around their little family.

As parents, finding time that’s just for the two of you isn’t always easy. So when we wandered off around Port Lympne for some portraits, it was lovely knowing those few quiet minutes were completely theirs. No distractions, no jobs to do, just the two of them soaking it all in before heading back to celebrate with everyone else.

Some of my favourite photographs though are the ones with Jude. I know that in years to come, they’ll mean even more than they do now.

That’s one of the reasons I care so much about albums.

Photos deserve to be held, passed around the sofa and looked back on with your children. One day Jude will be able to flick through these pages and see exactly how his mum and dad looked at each other, who was there to celebrate with them and the day their family story took on a whole new chapter.

Louise and Nathan have since had a beautiful family album made, and I honestly can’t think of a better home for these memories.

appy first anniversary Corinne & Harry. 🤍

I absolutely loved this wedding.

Old Marylebone Town Hall will always be one of my favourite places to photograph. Every London wedding feels completely different, but they all have this effortless, elegant feel about them.

Corinne and Harry absolutely nailed it.

Harry’s green suit was such a good choice, Corinne’s fitted Milla Nova dress was stunning, and together they looked like they’d just stepped straight off the pages of Vogue onto the streets of London.

What I remember most though is their families. I’ve rarely seen two families look so genuinely proud. There were so many smiles, happy tears and hugs as everyone gathered on the famous steps after the ceremony.

We finished with a wander through Marylebone before stopping for a quick cuppa in a local coffee shop. It was simple, relaxed and the perfect way to soak up those first few moments as husband and wife.

Happy anniversary you two. Thank you for letting me be part of such a brilliant day.

When couples look back on their wedding day, they rarely say, “I wish we’d spent more time taking photographs.”

“I wish we’d had more time with our guests.”

You’ve spent months planning this one incredible day, inviting all of your favourite people into one room, and then before you know it, it’s over.

Your grandparents, childhood friends, cousins, university friends, work colleagues... some of them may never all be together in the same place again.
That’s why I’m such a big believer in building your timeline around people, not just logistics.

A slightly longer drinks reception. Planning your confetti, family photographs and couple portraits in the right order. Leaving little pockets of breathing space throughout the day.

Those small decisions completely change how your wedding feels.
Instead of spending the afternoon wondering where the time went, you’ll actually have time to hug your guests, have proper conversations and soak up the atmosphere you’ve spent so long creating.

Your wedding isn’t just a celebration of your marriage.

It’s a celebration with the people who’ve helped shape your story.

Make time for them.
