Fantastic weekend up at the Big Love Festival ...played the Big Scott friday with Matt Newman and Natalie Ollis ...followed by a Hurting Germs gig at the Dragonflii Pontypool Saturday night...back to the festival for a full day of live music...great to see bands and artists who have been through the studio playing a festival stage. Practice makes perfect and thanks to Tina Evans Rogers - Tim Gray - Ceri Louise Perkins - Cherie Arlett and all the production team who made the whole weekend appear seamless.

In the Evolution studio - Cardiff tonight are the legendary The Oppressed running through the Bristol punx picnic set with dep drummer Edd Kunti Fleming ...Ducky (Russell Payne)on guitar and Roddy Moreno on bass are polishing Ed up whilst Nidge Downs is away.

So in the studio today are Pink Floyd tribute band Thin Ice, In case anybody thinks that owning a studio means that I listen to loud music all day is wrong as the guys and gals work with in ear monitoring so everything is silent except for Kris on drums. Let's see who can identify the song just by the drum pattern alone.

You sort of know when a certain person is destined for big things...listening to Deerest recording her debut album here at Evolution studio - Cardiff was an absolute pleasure as her music is so diverse going from soft folk melodies to balls out riff monsters. Looking forward to watching her perform at Big Love Festival on the Big Scott stage. Everything about last night performance at Porter's Cardiff was fantastic. Both Deerest and her fantastic band were on top form.
