Interesting morning down Cardiff Airport watch Qantas’s new A350-1000ULR (Ultimate Long Range Leader) codenamed Project Sunrise leaving for Toulouse after undergoing test flights. Also saw a Beech King Air B200, operated by the Irish Coastguard. Shooting in the heat was difficult as many photos showed heat haze but managed to get a few.

Since I first started my photography journey, the one bird I’ve wanted more than ever was the beautiful Atlantic Puffin. To see these yesterday on skomer island was phenomenal, and to experience it with my friends was something special.

So last week I explored Normandy with my family visiting Ranville War Cemetery where my great great uncle is buried and explored the beaches of the D-Day landings remembering the sacrifice of them brave soldiers who went to war to protect our freedom. Today marks the 82nd anniversary of the Normandy landings.

A great day out yesterday in the sunshine with the camera taking photos of the beautiful tawny owlet. Just a few weeks ago he was seen poking his head out of the nest, now he’s learning to hunt, fly and defend for himself absolutely a beautiful bird and to get close up shots was unbelievable and special.

Great day out at Bristol Zoo Project photographing their latest big edition the Lowland Gorillas in the African Forest. This Zoo is a great place to visit for all the family and a great place to see unique and unusual animals.

A fantastic day for wildlife photography yesterday. Went exploring around the Vale of Glamorgan for a few hours and then back to Forest Farm and it was nice to see the Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Great morning out, 5 am start and it was worth it. Managed to get a few fox photos and two lovely photos of a juvenile Robin. Made even better with the great company.

A few hours spent down Forest Farm before work today. It was nice to finally get out in the sun with the camera, heard lots of birds singing but didn’t see any so came back with three sharp photos of a Grey Squirrel.

Great afternoon yesterday watching 2 American Lockheed C130’s take off based out of Missouri, along with 2 TUI Boeing 737 land.

Just the two from a very quiet Forest Farm earlier today. I didn’t see the Kingfisher but I did see a male black cap along with a jay and a wood pigeon.
