Conversation time!

The subject: A.I edits

Controversial subject, I know. I recently did a themed composite photo shoot.
My intention was to shoot for real, as usual, with my lighting skills etc, but leave the edit to A.I.
In the past, I'd do all the edits manually and it would take many hours, sometimes with questionable results!

This time, in an effort to reduce the amount of time spent editing, I thought I'd use AI with some prompts. And the results were great, and done in a few seconds vs hours.

I thought this was an amazing time saver.

However, I'm becoming more and more concerned about the rise of A.I and what it is and will be doing to not just the creative industries but to the planet itself.

So, even if it'll take me longer to do it manually, I think it'll make my conscious feel better.

What do you think about the topic? Is A.I just a tool? Will the client not care how you create the final image?

The last time I did a shoot with Luke Layman was nearly 10 years ago.

Back then, we did a gym shoot as he's just done a competition. Today, at my home studio, we switched it up!!

We went cinematic! 🎞️🎥

His look lent itself to an 80's throwback action movie, so we went through a few different looks, expressions and poses and I captured the essentials with my camera and lighting expertise.

However, this time I used Ai to help with the edit. In the past I did all of this by hand, which would take many, many hours...

But it's 2026 and using AI, I've sped up the process. It still takes my craft to create the fundamentals and then prompting AI, I let it do the rest.

After over four years away from fitness and physique photography, today, I made my comeback.

And the one person I thought was the perfect choice to get back infront of the lens was the incredible Tiffany Narbeth!

I've known Tiffany for years, having done a couple of shoots with her over the years. She is an absolute natural and so much fun to work with. Always a laugh, aid back with zero ego and able to "turn it on" for the shot.

On top of that, there was one gym I knew would be perfect. The same gym I shot at the last time over four years ago.

GAH Gym, just outside of Cardiff, run my husband and wife team Mike and Leica Gelsei. Again, people I've know for years, way back when I was really involved in the fitness and physique photography scene.

And honestly, I feel like I haven missed a beat. Fell right back in to it. I'm feeling really grateful.

Anyway, I hope you like these shots as much as I do.
