Congrats  to the winner of the Poetry in the Arcades project which I coordinated with Mab Jones in Cardiff city centre 🙂

In March, Cardiff City of Arcades and FOR Cardiff with Dan Green Photography launched a poetry competition, with the brief ‘a celebration of Cardiff’.
I’m delighted that my winning poem is now displayed in Morgan Arcade, alongside commissioned Welsh poets.
Having grown up, and now living back in Cardiff, it is a very special win. Thank you to head judge Mab Jones. Happy days.

Sanchez & Stinky {2}

Cardiff based musician / busker / fire performer and his trusty sidekick cat, Stinky the cat.

Sanchez can be regularly found on the Millennium Footbridge (the red coloured pedestrian bridge between Sophia gardens and Bute park in Cardiff) playing his various Japanese and Chinese bamboo dizi flutes, producing tranquil sounds backed by the River Taff - which is much needed in these stressful covid lockdown times.

He reared his cat, Stinky, from day one. The cat has a lead and behaves more like a dog than a typical domestic cat - awesome pair of individuals.
