Tb to being invited by to speak to 35 brilliant school pupils at a event focused on careers within the Welsh food and drink industry.

I talked them through my path into freelance photography and the foundations of strong food product imagery, before setting a practical challenge: style and photograph products using some basic props and just their mobile phones. We then reviewed everyone's results.

The creativity in that room was amazing. Watching them approach the same product in completely different ways reminded me why I love doing this! 📸

Hello 2023!! 🥳🥂 As I reflect back on 2022, I think to myself: oh my, what a year it's been!

Here is what 2022 looked like for me as a freelance photographer:

👉 94 photoshoots in total (including interiors, portraiture, events, PR, conferences, awards, proms and balls, food, live music, couples, surprise proposals, lifestyle and fashion - all great fun!)
👉 Photoshoots in 2 countries, across 6 cities (including 2 shoots at 2 different castles! 🏰)
👉 28 lovely clients that I absolutely loved interacting with
👉 Got my first ever branded Katka Photography hoodie! (because why not)
👉 I wonder how many hours I have spent editing, but it might be better to save myself the shock 😅

As we welcome 2023, I would like to say a big THANK YOU to every single person who has trusted me and made me a part of their project in 2022. It's been wonderful meeting so many great people through my work and an absolute pleasure to help bring you closer to your goals with my photography.

I look forward to what the New Year has to bring! (and dates in January and February are already filling up) 📷
