So I finally bought the camera I’ve been eyeing up for years.
And I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing with it 😅
After years of shooting with Canon, switching systems feels a bit like getting into someone else’s car and discovering the indicators, wipers, and handbrake are all in different places.
So I’ve gone right back to basics.
The same advice I always give anyone learning photography:
📸 Shoot. Every. Day.
Not because every photo will be good. Quite the opposite, actually.
Most of them will be rubbish. Some will be accidentally overexposed, underexposed, out of focus, or just plain weird.
But every single frame teaches you something.
You learn what works. You learn what doesn’t.You discover a new setting you should probably understand. And occasionally you add another item to your ever-growing “must watch on YouTube later” list 😅
Photography isn’t really about getting every shot right.
It’s about being curious enough to keep taking the next one.
