I Locked My Heart In A Box is now yours.
I wrote this song in January 2018 when I got my first real crush. I was a mess of anti-social connections, loneliness, and confusion. My self-image and self esteem was terrible and I thought locking myself away and not interacting with anyone was the answer. Fragments of the lonely girl I was are always resurfacing, which is a vein I will continue to tap when it's time for you to have the album.
Now, in 2026, we continue to build safe spaces for those who are lonely, outcast, and who are just waiting to be themselves for the first time. In many ways, this is the space for me. /You/ are the space for me. I keep being inspired by all of you and your creativity and conversation, and I look back on the sad girl and know that her future is beautiful, full of friendship, and covered in glitter.
