LAUNCHING: YMA O HYD | سوف نبقى هنا 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🕊🇵🇸

This photobook is a testament to the resilience, solidarity, and shared humanity of those standing with Palestine and the Palestinian people.

Through the power of collective voices, poetry, the spoken word and photojournalism, this project aims to raise awareness and critical funds for Cwtches to Gaza —a mutual aid organisation providing essential support in the face of unimaginable hardship.

100% of the profits from this book will go directly to them. From evacuations and rent to food, water, and medical care, Cwtches to Gaza is on the frontlines of compassion and action and every order will make a tangible difference to real lives.

⏰ Pre-orders for the first run of photobooks will close at midnight on the 25th of October 2024.

hello hello - figured now is a good time to re-introduce myself. (also peep the shiny new logo to replace the very questionable one I made on hipsterlogomaker.com when I was 18🥴)

I’m Hannah (they/them), I’m Cardiff-based but am from Pontypool originally. I’m a fluent Welsh speaker and studied film/documentary at USW. since graduating I’ve just followed my curiosity, I’m forever grateful this is where it’s landed me!

instilling a documentary feel across my work, I like to do things differently. to me, the most important part is using my camera, voice and platform to amplify and highlight the experiences of those who the media and society, in general, don’t even try to understand. community, identity, and capturing the joy in the intersect has always been at the core of what I do.

I work part-time in comms and part-time self-employed for all your media needs, be that photography, videography, research, graphics or communications!

a collective of artists raising funds for Palestine, Congo and Sudan.

100% of the money raised will be split between the following 3 charities:
Palestine: Medical Aid For Palestinians
Sudan: Muslim Aid
Congo: WARCHILD

this prize could be used for artist promo pictures, couple photos, a fashion or concept shoot, family photos (max 6 people), headshot photos or just for fun, I’m open to suggestions!

how to enter:
1. read and agree to the T&C’s
2. donate a minimum of £5 via paypal. please select the friends and family option & use your name as the reference note (link in bio)
3. take a screenshot of your “confirmation of donation” email
4. fill in the google form to register your entry using the same name left as the reference note on your paypal donation (link in bio)
5. the winner will be picked at random and announced on 23/2/24

terms and conditions:
- this prize excludes event photography, gig photography, and any photos that would be used to sell an item i.e. merch etc
- please note that this photoshoot will be digital, not on 35mm film
- the photoshoot will be Cardiff based and will be in a public place (for safety)
- we'll have a chat on zoom to discuss the shoot and any ideas, get to know each other, and agree on a mutually suitable Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- transport / travel / props / clothes are not covered as part of this prize
- the prize must be redeemed before the 1st of september 2024 & 48 hours notice is required to reschedule
- you must be 18 to enter, a chaperone must accompany minors on shoots

hello pawb! it’s been a while hasn’t it? ⁣

last year was difficult for everyone and i’m lucky to have a roof over my head and to have salvaged some work, but honesty is important to me in my work and something I know people value in my account! to be honest I struggled a lot last year and by october i was just trying to get to the end of it, I didn’t want to just jump back on and act like nothing had happened.⁣
⁣
motivation and inspiration have been super hard to conjure up - I guess because most of my work is based around people, and being someone who overthinks to a fault the in-the-moment energy I get from gigs, events, on sets and spending time with people before portraits has felt impossible to recreate. also seeing so many friends and colleagues losing work left, right, and centre, and the industries I trained for/worked in for free for years to have a career in someday being decimated by the tories and now brexit…that’s been gutting too. ⁣
⁣
but moping aside, I did get some things that I’m proud of! ⁣
⁣
- I got my first researching credit for ‘Mae’r Cymry’n Dlawd’ that I worked on for Llais Cymru and aired on BBC Radio Cymru🎙️⁣
⁣
- was honoured to be asked on my first panel for the Horizons / Gorwelion launchpad!! ⁣
⁣
- relaunched NOX and the Gwreiddiau series with the one and only on board🖤⁣
⁣
- Death Meets Lisolette was released + I got another imdb credit for my stills and my work on set (still available on the BFI website along with all the other amazing Uncertain Kingdom films too)⁣
⁣
- got a few more promo videos under my belt for clients such as summit2sea and Wales International / Cymru a'r Byd, again via the wonderful Llais Cymru🌈⁣
⁣
- shot a lot more on film (shout out to Express Imaging Ltd for their wicked processing by post service)⁣
⁣
- started learning bass🎸⁣
⁣
- and had some much needed time off over christmas which gave me the chance to plan, look forward to investing more energy into this again, and new kinds of content too seeing as my personal/day to day stuff always seems to go down well!!⁣

I hope everyone’s staying as safe and sane as possible, blwyddyn newydd dda + wash ya hands📸⚡⁣
