Good evening everyone! ☺
This isn't quite the post I ever wanted to make, but one that I need to.
The past year has been quite difficult for me and my physical health has really struggled, I've tried really hard to keep pushing through it but it's becoming evident that this isn't something I can do.

I have had to rethink my life and career choice to be better suited to me, unfortunately, my health has to come first and this means that I can't pursue my photography the way I wanted to.

I have always loved the idea of digital marketing and social media work, and this became more apparent to me through doing courses to promote my photography, so after a lot of deliberation I have decided to start up my own Social Media Management company and I'm super excited to begin this new adventure. It means I can continue my photography in a much more manageable way, through doing product photography and content creation for the businesses I will work with.

Although my general posts are family and children portraiture, I do offer a wide range of photographic services.

I am experienced in professional headshot photography, food and product photography and events. I’ve completed a course in Newborn photography and I’m also very comfortable working with animals.

Whilst I was at University, I found a real love for styled portraits, and conceptual work – creating stories and full projects through my photography. I love to experiment with different lighting techniques and often trial ideas through self-portraiture, figuring out what works and what still needs tweaked. My final major project at university was all about horror, bo***ir and fashion photography – I titled it ‘Vogue gone Rogue’ and they are still some of my favourite pieces of work. I had full creative freedom and I enjoyed every second of the project.

I’m always open to try new things, so whatever services you may be looking for, please feel free to slide into my DM’s and I’m sure we can create something amazing together.

I’m absolutely serious about posting more for my photography ❤

Although I missed new year, this is the beginning of 2024 for Bea Portraits and I wanted to start with a ‘get to know me’ post

So… hello! I’m Bethany, the girl behind the camera 😊 I’m 22 and I love all things artsy and creative, I’m always ready to get the paint and hot glue gun out. I have 4 cats, Rogue, Rebel, Obi and Zeb, they are quite the handful at times but I wouldn’t change them for the world.

I studied photography at university in Hartlepool, where I found a real love for fashion photography and styled portraits. Soon after graduating and moving back home, I began building a portfolio of newborn, family and pet portraits, and I keep growing and learning now.

My aims for 2024 are to continue to develop my skills and my knowledge. I want to post more consistently and to book more sessions with my amazing clients ❤
I love my small business and I can’t wait to see where I am at the end of this year.

I have been wanting to return to my little business for ages, but because of ill-health I had to put my photography to the side to focus on resting.

I want to get back to a bit more normality now and to start booking sessions again.

I’m too late for Valentine’s day photos, but Mother’s Day is a month away so I will be taking bookings for Mummy and Me minis – I will make a separate post with the details for this.
