Some of the most beautiful images I take don’t show a face at all.
The curl of their fingers around yours. The fold at the back of their neck. That one bit of hair that stands up no matter what you do. Their feet - impossibly small, and only that small for a matter of weeks.
I know some parents hold back from booking because they don’t want their baby’s face online. Or they’re not sure how they feel about it yet, and haven’t had the space to decide. That’s completely fair, and it’s never a reason not to come.
Your images are yours. You choose what’s shared and what isn’t — and “nothing” is a full answer. I’ll never need a reason. Plenty of my sessions never see the internet at all, and I photograph them exactly the same way.
Some parents choose only to share details, and these images age beautifully. They’re the ones that stop you in your tracks years later, because they hold something a portrait can’t quite reach — the actual size of them, the softness, the way they curled in on themselves when they were brand new.
