We have a story coming up shortly for you about Parton Kirk, but first, a plug for the fundraiser to save the Kirk for Science!

The Community Council has started this fundraiser to save the kirk from being sold off to a private bidder. As the final resting place of James Clerk Maxwell, it could become a wonderful local resource celebrating Scotland's Einstein for future generations.

Waterside Hill, sometimes known as the Witches Hill, is steeped in local folklore and History. Let us take you through all of that on a reasonably taxing Sunday morning stroll. Walking footwear recommended, all dogs on the leash. Not suitable for those who cannot climb steep hills!
