Heritage is for everyone: Explore how Time Credits can support pathways to volunteering, participation and engagement with Medway's heritage. 🧩

This event brings together heritage organisations, heritage volunteering and community engagement with heritage to listen, learn and share how we can involve more people in celebrating, protecting and shaping Medway’s heritage. 🤝🏾

The event is free to attend. Advance booking is required as lunch will be provided.

We’re just one week away from Bligh’s Community Picnic! Join us on Saturday 5th September for an afternoon of family fun, as we bring our community together at Bligh Primary School.

A few things to know:

There will be a mixture of free and paid activities, with the inflatables being a paid activity.

Refreshments will also be available to purchase on the day, cash only, so please remember to bring some cash with you!

There’s no entry fee, but we’re asking, if you can, to bring “a tin” to support the Bligh Food Pantry and help local families. If you’re unable to donate, please don’t let that stop you from coming, everyone is welcome!

Whether you’re a Bligh family, a local resident, a community group or simply part of our wider Strood community, this picnic is for everyone.

So grab your picnic blanket, invite your neighbours, pack your lunch and come along for a great afternoon together! ☀️🧺

Tempo Time Credits: Community Engagement Workshop

Reflect on the places you live, identify local strengths, explore challenges and recognise opportunities within your communities!

Using a mixture of discussion, creative activities and collaborative exercises, participants will explore what makes their area distinctive while developing a greater understanding of local heritage, culture and community assets.

Rather than presenting pre-determined opportunities, the workshops will invite participants to explore the types of volunteering experiences they would find most meaningful and identify the causes, projects and community activities they would like to become involved in.

Monday, 24 August, 12 to 2pm, Thrift & Thrive Medway, Chatham.
Wednesday, 26 August, 12 to 2pm, Bligh Primary School, Strood.
