📸 Join me for a photo walk at The Historic Dockyard Chatham

Whether you’re a professional, student, hobbyist or just curious about seeing the world differently through a lens, this is a chance to connect, and create together.

Join me for a guided photography walk through the Historic Dockyard Chatham, one of Kent’s most visually striking heritage locations. Participants will explore composition, storytelling, observation, and documentary style image-making whilst having a gentle walk through historic architecture, industrial textures, and waterside environments.

The walk encourages people to slow down, notice details, and build confidence in photographing public spaces through a relaxed and community-focused environment. Participants are welcome to bring cameras or use mobile phones.

No previous photography experience is required.

As Part of Medway and Kent Lens, in partnership with The Black Arts Hub, this event aims to encourage people to reconnect with local heritage through photography and shared creative exploration.

Really pleased to be organising and bringing back Emergence for another year with fellow students from Medway School of Arts.

After creating and leading the first Emergence exhibition last year, it’s been exciting to continue developing it and expanding it to include both first and second year students across Photography, Fine Art and Graphic Design.

I originally started Emergence out of a passion for creating opportunities for emerging creatives, giving students like myself the chance to exhibit work outside of the university environment, gain experience working towards a public exhibition, and start thinking beyond the classroom. A huge part of the exhibition has been about empowering students to take ownership of their work and creating a platform where new talent can be seen.

While the exhibition is supported collaboratively by students and staff at Medway School of Arts, I’m proud to continue leading and developing something that creates opportunities for emerging creatives.

Grateful to be partnering with this year, who have provided a venue for the exhibition in their Chatham retail store.

This year’s exhibition showcases work exploring themes including the built environment, natural form and more.

We appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you.

ℹ️ Emergence is a student-led collective exhibition from Graphic Design, Fine Art and Photography degree students.
