What a evening this was… There’s something really special about photographing a woman in that in-between space, still very much part of her family, but also carrying a whole new chapter of it.

This session gave us all the lovely family moments, but I also a chance to create something just for her.

She trusted me when I asked her to step into the water, slow everything down, and let me make something a little more striking. Strong, calm, beautiful, completely herself.

Those hero images in the water are some of my favourites because they feel like more than maternity photos. They feel like a portrait of her in this moment, not just as a mum, not just as someone expecting a baby, but as a beautiful woman.

Thank you for trusting me to create sometimes a bit different its definitely not for everyone and I’ll never make anyone do anything they are uncomfortable with but it is great when someone is willing to try something a little outside the obvious.

A moment of calm creating together followed by normal mum life running around with a toddler all captured in one evening.

Golden evenings like this are exactly why I love family sessions so much ✨

Bare feet in the field, cuddles, belly laughs, little hands to hold and those beautifully unplanned moments in between. Your family being yourselves while I capture it all in that gorgeous soft evening light.

I’m now booking the last of my golden hour sessions before the evenings draw in 🤎 And if you’ve got little ones with early bedtimes, this is such a lovely time of year to book, golden hour is getting earlier, so you can have that dreamy sunset glow without keeping everyone up way past bedtime.

I think it’s time we talked about the C word… 🎄
Yes. CHRISTMAS.

I had every intention of sharing this with you on Monday after my little countdown in Stories… and then tonsillitis + the final few days of the school holidays had other ideas. 🙃
But I’m finally here and, more importantly…
CHRISTMAS TREE FARM MINI SESSIONS ARE NOW OPEN! 🎄✨
From 30th October, I’ll at the most gorgeous Christmas tree farm just outside Chelmsford for a little bit of early Christmas magic.

Think rows and rows of real Christmas trees, simple festive decorations, wrapped presents, a vintage sleigh and plenty of space for little ones to explore and be themselves.

Because although we’ll absolutely get those gorgeous photographs for the grandparents and Christmas cards, these sessions aren’t about standing perfectly still and smiling at me.

I want the giggles.
The cuddles.
The sibling chaos.
The exploring.
The little moments you didn’t even realise I’d photographed.

🌲30 minute session
✨£95 | 4 high-resolution digital images included

You’ll also have the option to purchase additional images after viewing your gallery.

Sessions are for families of up to 5, with back-to-back sessions available for larger families.

A £45 deposit secures your session, with the remaining balance due a week before.

As these sessions take place outdoors, if rain is forecast we may need to reschedule. I keep alternative dates available throughout November, so there will still be plenty of time to capture your Christmas photographs.

Skin-to-skin 🤍

I absolutely love it when families trust me enough to step outside their comfort zone. That trust means everything to me, and I’ll never push anyone into anything they’re not comfortable with.

But after seeing how pretty their bath was, I couldn’t resist suggesting a few bath photos… and I’m so glad they said yes. ✨

Suddenly it not just a photoshoot anymore its the first time you’ve bathed with your baby and had that beautiful skin on skin connection 🤍

One day the daisies will bloom again, but they’ll be just a little bit bigger..

The way they hold a flower.
The way they look at you.
Tiny fingers, rosy cheeks, bare feet… and the smile that lights up your whole face.
The little things become the big things.

These moments don’t seem extraordinary at the time, but years from now they’ll be the ones you miss the most.

That’s why I love photographing families outdoors. It’s never about perfect poses or everyone looking at the camera. It’s about preserving a season of life exactly as it is. The curiosity, the cuddles, the giggles and all those beautifully ordinary moments that become extraordinary with time.

Before you know it, the flowers have bloomed again, another year has passed, and those tiny hands don’t feel quite so tiny anymore.

Just a cute little face for my grid…

I’ve been stuck in a bit of Instagram paralysis lately. I’ve got so much content I want to share, but between editing galleries and getting everything ready for my upcoming wildflower and sunflower sessions, I’ve ended up overthinking every post… and then posting nothing at all.

So here’s me breaking the cycle. If you actually see this give me a 🤍 so I don’t have to start all over again with the Instagram algorithm! 🤦‍♀️

🌸 Wildflower golden hour sessions 🌸

After my sunflower sessions being so popular I’ve decided to open up a special evening dedicated to the wildflowers also 🌼

There is a chance there may still have some sunflowers blooming by then, but I can’t promise that. What I can promise is that the wildflowers will be looking absolutely beautiful and making the most stunning backdrop for your photos.
