Cotteswold Dairy is a 3rd generation Dairy, started by Harry Workman who started the business as Spa Farm Dairy and took on his first employee in 1938. Harry Workman founded Cotteswold Dairy Ltd when it was just a 30-gallon milk round. Harry grew the business by adhering to a strict policy of real service to the customer and top quality products. The dairy is being passed down from generation to generation and is now in the hands of Roger Workman. In 2010 Roger appointed son George as Managing Director. Cotteswold Dairy became the first dairy in the country to supply organic milk in returnable glass bottles (1999). In 2014 the Dairy won Cotswold Life Family Business of the Year , over the years they have won over 14 awards including Great Taste Award(2015), The Red Ribbon Award(2016), as well as the Family Business Awards(2016).
Their main depot is located in Tewkesbury and where the family works.

This site is about a massacre and war crime that took place during World War II, in the village of Oradour-sur-Glane, in the Haute-Vienne region of France, starting at about 14:00, on Saturday 10th of June 1944. The village had been far from any centre of conflict, was not, nor had ever been an active resistance stronghold. Yet on that Saturday, men from the Der Führer Regiment of the 2nd Waffen SS Panzer Division Das Reich, drove into Oradour and killed everyone that they could find, a total of 700 men, women and children. The village was then looted and every building, set on fire. To this day there is no universally agreed explanation as to why the SS acted as they did, or why they chose Oradour for their attack. All the principal characters on the SS side are now dead and the few French survivors of the village were not given any clues by the troops as to why they were acting as they were.
