We’re doing a bit of 2027 & 2028 diary housekeeping. 📔

Firstly, thank you! Our inbox has been rather busy with enquiries for 2027 and 2028 lately, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful that so many lovely couples are considering having us along to photograph their big day. 📷

We’ve got quite a few dates currently pencilled in while couples make decisions, chat things through…you know, the usual wedding admin. 🫶🏻

But here’s the thing…we’re not chasers. We won’t bombard you with emails, messages or carrier pigeons asking whether you’ve made a decision. So, if you’ve previously enquired and have a date pencilled in our diary, please drop us a little message and let us know where you’re up to. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’ve found the right photographers for you (with no hard feelings whatsoever ❤️) and we’ll release your date back into the diary for new enquiries.

So if you’re sitting there thinking, “Ohhhh… we meant to get back to Paul & Helen…” This is your sign. 👀

And to everyone who has already booked us for 2027 & 2028…WE CANNOT WAIT. A thousand thank yous. 🤍

If you had the opportunity to pop home and put your feet up on your wedding day…you’d take it, wouldn’t you? 🤔

We absolutely love these pictures from Ally & Ben’s wedding day. Their house was literally a couple of minutes from the church, so after saying “I do”, they decided to make the most of it and pop home for a little breather before heading off to celebrate. And honestly…why not? 🥰

There’s something so wonderfully real about these moments. Your wedding day doesn’t have to be a non-stop whirlwind. Sometimes the best memories are the little in-between moments you never planned for. 🤍

Although we have to ask…would you have been able to get back up again? 😂

Today’s ‘Friday Favourites’ is dedicated to animals at weddings.

We’re 1000% IN. No notes.

Dogs? Obviously. 🐶
Donkeys? YES PLEASE. 🫏
Chickens? Get them on the guest list. 🐔
Alpacas? We’re listening.

Because if they’re part of your family, why wouldn’t they be part of one of the biggest days of your life? And honestly…they bring something rather special. The slightly chaotic entrance. The unexpected photobomb. The (almost always) very strong opinion about the wedding dress. 👰

So yes, you bring the animals. We’ll bring the cameras. We can’t guarantee we won’t end up talking about them more than we talk about you. We’re not even sorry. 🤍

Today’s ‘Friday Favourite’ is the Wedding Cake.

We absolutely LOVE photographing wedding cakes. Let’s be honest…they’re not just cakes, are they? They’re works of art.

The thought, creativity and sheer skill that goes into designing a wedding cake never ceases to amaze us. From intricate details and delicate florals to bold colours, quirky touches and designs that perfectly reflect the couple — there’s usually a whole lot more going on than meets the eye.

And yet… do we give wedding cakes enough of a spotlight? They often make their grand entrance, get admired for approximately 3.7 seconds, are photographed, ceremonially cut…and then quietly disappear into the background.

So, we want to know…
Should wedding cakes be served earlier in the day? Could cake and dessert become one glorious event? Did you stick with traditional flavours? Vanilla? Fruit? Chocolate? Or did you go completely rogue with something unexpected? And the big one…Did you save your top tier for a future christening cake?

We’ve seen some absolute beauties over the years, and we’d love to hear what you did — or what you wish you’d done!

Photographing weddings is definitely not your average 9 to 5… but WE LOVE IT. 📸

Couldn’t let this week go by without paying homage to the one and only Dolly Parton — the absolute legend whose music still fills wedding dance floors week in, week out. 🤍

Rest easy, Dolly. Thank you for the songs, the sparkle…and for keeping those dance floors busy. ✨
