3 reasons to book a Mini Brand Shoot for your Cheshire business

Good photographs should make it easier for people to understand, remember and choose your business.

1. Help people recognise and trust you. Professional, natural photographs show your customers who you are, what you do and the person behind the business. They give people a better sense of who they’re dealing with before they get in touch.

2. Stop struggling to find something to post. A Mini Brand Shoot gives you a fresh collection of images for LinkedIn, Facebook, your website and marketing, so you’re not constantly searching through your phone for something to use.

3. Show your business as it really is. No stiff poses or complicated studio setups. I want to capture you doing what you actually do, giving potential customers a genuine feel for your business.

It’s just 45 minutes, focused on creating useful, authentic images you can actually use.

Cheshire Mini Brand Shoot, 8th October. Message me or leave a comment, and I’ll send you the link

People don’t connect with a business. They connect with the story behind it.

We often say people buy from people, but I think there’s another layer to that. People want to know why you do what you do. What made you start? What matters to you? What have you learned along the way? What makes you care about the work you do? A polished headshot can show people what you look like. A product photograph can show them what you sell. But a photograph that captures the person, the place, the passion or the moment behind the business can tell people why they should care.

That’s why I believe good brand photography isn’t just about creating nice pictures. It’s about finding the stories that make your business human. Find the story. Frame it. Share it. Because people may notice your business because of a photograph, but they connect with the story behind it.

8th October | Brand Story Starter Session. A simple way to start finding the stories behind your business and create authentic images you can use across your website and social media. Message me or leave a comment and I’ll send you the booking link. Tell me, what is your story?

A testimonial is always nice to receive, but what Mandy said about her brand photoshoot with me will resonate with many Cheshire business owners.

She said I made her feel relaxed, guided her throughout the session, and that my experience was evident during the shoot. That's exactly how I believe a brand photoshoot should feel. You don't have to be a natural in front of the camera, know how to pose or feel comfortable having a lens pointed at you.

My job is to create a relaxed environment where you can be yourself, so we can capture the person and the story behind your business. The result is photography that feels like you, rather than another set of generic business photos.

I have a few spaces available for my next Mini Brand Shoot on Thursday 8th October. If your website, LinkedIn profile or social media could use fresh, authentic images, message me or leave a comment, and I will send you the booking link.

If you're a male business owner, when was the last time you updated your professional photos?

If you're struggling to remember, you're probably not alone.

Your website, LinkedIn profile and social media are often the first places people see you. Professional, authentic photos help potential clients connect with you as a person, not just a business.

And I know that having your photo taken isn't everyone’s favourite thing. I make it relaxed and straightforward. My job is to capture you looking natural, approachable and professional without making the whole thing feel like a traditional photoshoot.

I’m running a Cheshire-based Mini Brand Shoot on 8th October for independent Cheshire business owners, just like you.

If your photos could use an update, leave a comment or send me a message, and I’ll send you the booking link.

Two dates. Two opportunities. One goal: helping your business get seen.

I’ve got two very different events coming up in October, both designed to help Cheshire business owners improve their visibility and make better use of their content.

On October 1st, I’ll be at the KCC Business Growth Event, talking about 'Find.Frame.Share' and showing how you can turn the photographs already sitting on your camera roll into stories and social media content. You probably already have more useful content than you realise. You just need to find the story behind the picture.

Then, on October 8th, I’m running a Cheshire Mini Brand Shoot. A relaxed opportunity to create authentic images that show people who you are, what you do and why they should choose you. No stiff poses or corporate clichés. Just useful photographs that feel like you and your business.

Two events, two different ways to improve your visibility. If your business needs to be seen, put one (or both) of these dates in your diary. The details and booking QR codes are in the image.

Cheshire business owners aren't thinking, "I need to book a photoshoot."

They're thinking, "I need people to understand what we do. I need better content. I need to look more professional online. I need people to trust me before they get in touch. I need to stand out without looking like everyone else."

And that's where I can help.

Because you probably don't need a photoshoot. You need to be seen, understood and remembered.

The photography and film are simply the tools I use to help you do that. As a former award-winning photojournalist, I don't start by asking, "What shots do you want?" I start with your story. What makes you different? Why did you start? What do your clients value about you? What happens behind the scenes? Why do people choose you?

Then we find, frame and share those stories through photography and film that feel authentic to you and your business.

So if you've been thinking, "I really should get some new photos done," perhaps that's not where you need to start. Start with your story, and that's where I can help.

A huge thank you to Ian Wainwright from PINESTAR LIMITED for his kind words following his recent brand photography session.

Ian helps businesses improve the way they deliver projects through project assessments, training and practical support. He's incredibly knowledgeable, but also has a genuine warmth and sense of humour. From the start, I knew that was the story the photographs needed to tell.

"Paul is easy to deal with, provides an excellent step-by-step guide through the process, and the actual photo shoot was a very relaxing and fun experience." - Ian Wainwright.

As a former photojournalist, I'm not interested in creating polished corporate headshots that could belong to anyone. I want to capture the person behind the business, the professionalism, personality and authenticity that help clients connect and build trust.

It was a real pleasure working with Ian, and I'm delighted we've created a collection of images that tell his story and showcase what he does.

Confidence isn't something you bring to a photoshoot. It's something you leave with.

One of the first things I hear from new clients is, "I'm not very good in front of the camera." If that sounds familiar, you're in good company.

The truth is, confidence isn't a requirement for great brand photography. In fact, most people arrive feeling a little nervous. They worry about how they'll look, what to do with their hands or whether they'll come across naturally.

That's why I don't begin with the camera. I begin with a conversation about you, your business and the people you help. As the conversation flows, the camera almost disappears.

Something changes during every shoot. People relax. They stop trying to pose. Their personality comes through, and that's when the best photographs are made.

By the end of the session, clients often tell me they feel far more confident than when they arrived. Yes, they leave with a gallery of authentic brand images, but they also leave feeling more comfortable being seen.

I think that's the real value of brand photography.

I've explored this idea in more detail in my latest blog. If you've ever put off having professional photos because you didn't feel confident enough, I think you'll enjoy the read.

Sometimes I think we've forgotten what social media was meant to be.

Somewhere along the way, it became a place to constantly sell, promote, and prove ourselves. Every post has to pitch something.

But the posts I remember rarely tell me what someone does.

They tell me 'why' they do it.

As a former photojournalist, I've always believed that the story behind the photograph is far more important than the photograph itself. That's the same approach I take with every business I work with today.

If you want people to trust your business, don't just tell them what you sell. Tell them why it matters.

I've written a new blog about why authentic storytelling is becoming more valuable than ever, especially in a world where AI can create content in seconds.

If you'd like to read it, you'll find it here: https://3w3upk8.s.gy/eNbmfC

Stop Selling What You Do. Start Sharing Why You Do It.

I'd love to know what you think.
