Earlier this year I got the privilege of listening to the training/support talk by the brilliant Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity at the Elliott Group construction site in Great Boughton Chester while photographing the event.

Two great guys (one of whom runs MYHP - The Mental Health Podcast came on-site and gave a superb presentation to all the contractors, staff (and even myself) on the impact of mental health and family life events upon work, home life and health.

It's amazing how life events can impact anyone at any time.

This week Elliott Group announced they have become an official company supporter of this superb Lighthouse Construction Industry charity so I thought it was a good reason to share a few of the photographs I captured on site.

You can see them here in full flow reminding us it's not weak to get help - it may even save your life

- ESPECIALLY if you've hidden how bad things have got and nobody else is aware!

While things are good it's so easy to think it will never be me, but I can testify how much life can change.

Simply getting out of bed and eating becomes a challenge when life gets the better of you.

Perhaps you have had a huge capacity and carried many many responsibilities and juggled a lot successfully your entire life, but then that one additional pressure (that proverbial straw) causes rock bottom to fly fast at your face!

This doesn't mean you are useless. There is strength in vulnerability.

So wishing you all a great week. And if you need it speak to someone... Get help, there will be charities and support services out there for you too even if you can't utilise this fabulous charity for anyone in the construction industry!

A reminder about getting a geographically local business (whether you have services or not) seen, found and benefiting for YEARS to come for your small amount of efforts.

One of the factors affecting an online business's health and visibility is backlinks from reputable, trusted and long-standing sources.

Also, amazingly the photo/business re-marketing newspaper story (link in the article) is live on the web over 3 years later, due to press release information which was re-used after three years - this equates to 6 years of backlinks, brand authority and the image still appearing on google image search, so this strategy truly stands the test of time!

Hello, Elizabeth here for LPB LBP Commercial photography.

I thought it about time to reintroduce myself as it has been a while.

I live in Chester but love to travel and on a day off you will often find me chatting with friends over coffee somewhere in UK or up a hill, on a rock face, in the sea or on the water.

I love an adventure and exploring new places and meeting new people (within reason as I am a little bit of an introvert!)

I'm also super creative, and obsessed by light and colour and seeing the beauty in every environment place and person.

That is probably why I developed a love for photography - it let's me capture the beauty and meet people while meaning I can focus on the photos when I need some alone time reacharging for the next conversation.

I have two guineapigs who make me laugh most days with there interesting antics love of food!

They say pets are like there owners and I certainly love food, chatting and sometimes do funny things making people smile!

I have a love of learning and going deep into subjects of value! I have a diverse wealth of information and facts from fields from education to science, food to management, psychology to art, and business to faith.

Not only am I photographer but as an educator and coach by training and nature I love helping people solve problems.

I love nothing more than the challenge of helping people increase there visual presence, simplifying the mystery of tech, showcasing the many facets of businesses and personalities in a selection of images, and pulling out your brands gold to tell your client journey stories.

So no photoshoot is ever dull! My best compliment yet was "that was soo much better than I expected, it felt like a fun day out"

So that's what I love to do in life - combine work which gets a return on investment with adventures, fun and learning!

Showing some headshot love having realised to serve you all in the best way I know how, I have to show you the vision! Paint the picture. Draw the dream.

I love capturing unique personalities and environments, especially when there is a branding element (specific colours, feel, style, emotions and even scents and sense of touch to convey in the picture!)

Location Location Location...

Sometimes we locate our businesses for very specific reasons.

One of my clients needed to showcase why, as an agency working in the health sector, (an industry full of white coats, metal glass and microscopes, dust-free clinical environments) their writing, comms and marketing team are located in rural North Wales.

Why did a team in a converted barn on a farm add value over a corporate central city office complex?

Why not look at the photographs to see for yourself why they might benefit from this location?

Where would you rather work? In a stuffy office block, or a beautiful green space surrounded by flowers, wildlife, and beautiful skies?

As a creative I know I thrive and my ideas flow when I walk, when I find peace outside between assignments...
