🌿 Nighttime visitor in the woods 🦡
Caught this beautiful badger pausing for a moment under the moonlight. Nature always reminds us that the wild is alive, even when the world sleeps. 🌙✨

Meet Smudge 🦡✨
Recognisable by the little mark on his nose, this badger has become one of my favourite nighttime visitors. After spending time quietly watching and learning their behaviour, moments like this make every late evening worth it.
There’s something special about seeing wildlife begin to trust your presence enough to carry on naturally in front of the lens. Smudge paused just long enough beside the fallen log for this shot before disappearing back into the darkness. 🌙📸

Adder (Vipera berus) with its tongue out checking the air. Had a nice morning being quiet watching these little beauties until the RSPB warden come make a noise by stomping and shouting saying your are to close & disturbing them.(500mm lens on) They were perfectly fine until then, after they all slithered off from him shouting. Tosser.

✨ New Resource: Saying Goodbye – A Gentle Guide 🕊️

More and more people are choosing direct cremations — a simple option without a service at the crematorium. For some, this feels exactly right. But for families left behind, it can sometimes be hard to know what else their loved one might have wanted — whether a chance to gather, say goodbye in another way, or simply know which choices would have felt meaningful to them.

That’s why I’ve created Saying Goodbye — a warm, thoughtful booklet to help record your wishes. It isn’t about rules or expectations, but about giving your family the comfort of knowing what matters most to you when the time comes.

Inside, you’ll find gentle prompts about:
🪦 Burial or cremation
⛪ The type of service (or none at all)
🎶 Music, readings, and personal touches
🌳 Where you’d like to rest
📝 Any messages or memories you’d like to leave behind

It’s a simple way to bring peace of mind to the people you love, whatever choices you make.

If you or someone you know would find this helpful, I’d be glad to share a copy.
