All about me...

I am John Donabie - The Small Wedding Photographer.

With a photography-mad father it was no surprise that in growing up I too loved taking photos. It would be no surprise then that I have been taking wedding photographs for many years.

My home town is Gretna Green in Scotland... It is the first stop over the Scottish border, and the destination of thousands of runaway couples seeking to exploit Scottish law.

During my time in Scotland, I photographed several hundred runaway marriages over the Blacksmiths anvil as part of my contribution to our established family business.

What does our service provide?

Designed with small, local weddings in mind The Small Wedding Photographer offers photography throughout the main part of your wedding.

We will be in attendance for a period of 5 hours and 55 minutes from the time the Bride and Groom and guests arrive at your venue and remain with you as follows:

📸 The marriage ceremony,
📸 The signing of the documents
📸 The traditional family and friends group photos.
📸 In a secluded place, we will take a set of Bride and Groom portraits – romantic and otherwise.
📸 We will arrange to capture as many informal pictures of you and your guests in a relaxed style
📸 And in the time running up to your wedding breakfast, we will be available for photo requests.
📸 Thereafter we will capture your top table ……..and then depart.
